That's the kind of comment that pushes the envelope.
I've had enough self-righteous indignation, misguided nationalistic anthems, and personal attacks and insults to last me for a few days, anyways.

Let's face it. Anyone can find a way to be critical and dig up dirt on anyone or anything, to justify a point of view or agenda. Would love to see a more balanced approach that examines both sides of an issue instead of the one sided diatribes that are prefaced w/ "I have many good [fill in nationality] friends", and then proceed to bash the country, as if to justify the bashing.

All of our governments and instiutions are a mess. The human race is a mess. Yet we continue to plod along, trying to improve and make the most of it.

the friendly fire accident was due to a couple of idiotic air force officers, they were told there were ally training exercises going on below them and they dropped a bomb before radioing the base...

Can you at least tell us why you refuse to address any of my points. You have avoided them again and again so we are left to assume that you have no rebuttal and I am right.

Johnny6, ignorance is choosing to ignore the facts. I was not referring to all friendly fire incidents, I was referring to the particular incident that was mentioned in this thread. It was proved in court that incompetence was the mitigating factor in this case.

GT Web, the intensity of my post is dictated by the offense taken by certain inaccurate references to Canada.
You don't have to be an American to be proud of your country and when someone makes the kind of claims that LeeRyder has, seemingly based on one misguided woman's comments, I will take offense, and I will expect some sort of justification for the comments.

All LeeRyder has to do is address some of what I brought up. Instead his replies to me have been:
