Or, invite Lee to continue the debate via email or PMs. As a member and a members representative, my opinion is, that, for the scope of the NP forum, this thread has run it's course, and your persistence in calling Lee out publicly, at this point, is only fanning the flames and acting to further promote divisiveness among the membership. There have been several requests from members to close this thread, and one of the leaders at NP, has suggested wrapping it up over the weekend. It seems to me that you are looking to continue a p~~~ing match w/ one individual- you haven't responded to any other ideas or suggestions made here- and calling for a public apology indicates to me, that you also want an audience for your little match. If apologies are due here, and my feeling is that they are not, than I would suggest that you set the example and apologize publicly for your own name calling and for the demeaning remarks you have posted in this thread.
OK I do have to chime in here since this thread has taken such an ill turn that it appears guilty individuals are not being corrected for their inappropriate actions and comments.
The forum rules are simply stated: "Be Polite! - Do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. Be polite! Debate and heated discussions are okay, however posting rude, attacking, insulting, profane and uncalled for comments are not allowed and may result in the permanent termination of your account."
In which ways are LeeRyder's comments throughout this thread not contrary to the rules?
(1) Hateful and insulting comments: calling Canada a "pseudo nation", "little sister that couldn't", "51st State", "cowards and apathetic"
(2) Sarcastic and insulting: "we respect canadas soverienty [sic] and will continue to support your nation so long as it is in existance"
(3) Immature: one comment by one MP is representative of ALL Canadians?: "because, regardless of the validity of those comments, they are innapropriatte [sic] since we are not canadians."
(4) Rude, insensible and uncalled for: "For those offended by this thread, Please.. submit your concerns to the Canadian govt. for this outlandish Criminal act."
(5) Bitter sarcasm: "I ask because, unlike others here.. I have the class to first obtain permission to assail another nation that is not my own and that I have no personal connection too and have never been there."
(6) "Im not saying I hate canadians or canada. I am simply responding fairly to what I feel is an extremely unjust and unprofessional event by a member of your govt." Contradicts all previously made comments.
I have taken issue with the moderators and forum owner(s) for refusing to pass corrective judgements on this thread, however not one of them has yet to respond to how LeeRyder's comments have failed to contradict the forum rules, only saying that they do not feel it is out of hand. I thought that I was disappointed enough until I find out now that Grrilla is a member rep who also feels that the thread starter is acting within forum guidelines. Refusal to censure the OP or to encourage an apology from LeeRyder means only one thing: this forum feels that he has done NO wrong.
All animosity aside, and I have been courteous in all my 3 posts here, why not anybody just shed light on how LeeRyder's comments are neither hateful, rude, insulting and uncalled for?
