There in lies the problem. Anyone that old even finds the internet to be new fangled. So paying big bucks for a domain is next to impossible, unless they are in the top 5% in their industry.

Its a huge market though, you'll find another company with the same acro.

I'm targeting mostly startups (who come to me) or big timers, for whom a couple of grand is peanuts or even some SEM firms that understand the value of type in.

It would be helpful if LLL.in owners would keep an eye out and respond when there are LLL.in in the appraisal threads. Regardless of your low or high appraisal of the domain in question, a response shows that the market is interested. Many thanks! Good luck with your LLL.in!

Great point, totally agree. I'll definitely keep an eye out.

Wow DomainLobe, thx for the link.

In July 2004 LLL.com were $300/$400

Holy crap.
It says $700 for LLL.com and $350 for LLL.net

Still about 10 times in 3.5 half years :)
I actually think LLLL.com's might even be worth more than $500 in 3.5 years.

LLL words... probably already are $500 min.

Premium LLLs - anything under three figures is a steal.

Min. price is still a long was to stabilize, don't see it happening before March next year.

A few comments... please run your own numbers before making investment decisions. It would be really easy to lose money with LLL.in, so be very, very careful.---->

Remarkably, the LLL.in buyout continues to hold. Lesser quality combinations appear to be valued at original one-year registration fee minus an adjustment for days until renewal. Premium combinations are going for mid to high xx (and sometimes much more for remarkable combinations). Between now and January 5, 2009, I think we're looking at renewals or drops for about 4000 LLL.in. Six thousand LLL.in were registered during the discounted registration sale last year, leading to the LLL.in buyout, and one-third of those already have been renewed. In the worst case, all 4000 drop and are not renewed. Nevertheless, that still means 77% of LLL.in, and all of the best combinations, are likely to remain registered well into 2009. Given the poor shape of the world economy and ongoing firesales of lesser quality combos, the overall LLL.in market looks much better than I would have expected. Though I think the buyout appears unlikely to hold, it will be worth watching the numbers of renewals and drop catches from now until the end of February; due to last year's Directi Indian cctld sale, drops will be about 3x what you would expect if domains were registered and dropped evenly throughout the year. Nevertheless, every renewal or catch moves that 77% number upward. Whether it will allow the buyout to hold or create a near term tipping point for another buyout is the big question.

Re: Godaddy.

Wow. I consider that pretty big news for the Indian cctld.
ps-- price appears to be $14.99/year.

Use codes B-) I just used emma2 for $10 off $50 order

And the 10% codes take em down to $13.49 each

there are more than 500+ left so whats the point of seeing he aftermarket now?

Given that there are only few left, I've decided to grab few names. I think I got the last VVC domain name. I hope it appreciates in value.

LLL.in are on their way. There are prolly 100 left or so. I haevn't sold any yet because i am waiting till they gain a little bit of value. I'm excited because if LLLL.com is any indication of what LLL.in will be. I am going to make a pretty buck. All my names are premium if not semi-premium!

I left it a bit late to start reg'ing them - still got over 50 in total though. I think they'll all be gone within 12 hours from now. It was at something like 1400 a day ago, there was over 600 a few hours ago - its down to just over 100 now. So they're going fast thats for sure.

They cost around $4 to reg - so once buyout occurs, do you think they'll gain value immediately and if so, by roughly how much?

When LLL.com buyout occurred, what was the immediate price rise? Anyone know?

The price on these might take a while to gain value if at all because of the renewal fee. That can also make them worth more instantly. We just don't know how its going to turn out. We will see and be prepared to hold on to those LLL.in for a while. I really hope they jump but who knows. I predict the next couple of months will prove what is to behold with these names.

Because... as soon as they are all gone ( maybe a day or so or maybe a few hours??) it will be Aftermarket time & anyone who buys an LLL.IN will be buying it not registering it!!
The LLL.IN drops tend to last seconds especially for premium letters.

I think buyout is occurring as I type! There was 18 left a few minutes ago, but I just checked a few out of those 18 and they're gone... so.... maybe 1 or 2 left now!!!
