Truly a great name and I just wanted to chime in with what I feel is a very nice idea for the domain. Why don't you use subdmains to break up the shoes niche. For example you could do the following:

Track.Shoes.info
RockClimbing.Shoes.info
Tennis.Shoes.info

Etc

Have Shoes.info as your main page and break it up a bit with other shoe niches. I think you could do very well but if you ever wanted to get rid of the domain let me know please.
