Well, to be honest with you i look at .info in this way:
Most of the people who is using internet is looking for information about something. So its possible that .info can gain some respect from general public in the next years (5/10). Offcourse we can't expect to be at the same level of .com, but i think that could be at the same level of .net or better.

Just another opinion, .info and .mobi, are the only gtld that make sense to me after .com .org .net.

This is just my gut feeling, and the way a newbie see .info. Probably im wrong.
