With the recent popularity and domination of the new gTLD registrations in the .Club extension, it's appropriate to get an Official showcase and discussion thread going for the extension. Use this thread to showcase .Club domains you invested in, Discuss .Club, and point out record breaking .Club sales.

I'll get things started by showing off our new .Club that redirects back to NamePros ::: DomainName.Club ::::

What .Clubs have you guys and gals invested in?
Any great .Club news that others should be aware of?
What are some (Verifiable) mind blowing .club sales you've seen?
How much are you enjoying your new .club?
Know of any developed .Clubs that look cool?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Thanks Eric. I hope to share the vision of .CLUB and answer questions openly and honestly. We will make mistakes but will do our best to address them. I addition we will also tout are successes here. I am looking forward to interacting with everyone interested in .CLUB.

Thanks for sharing those names. NameCheap just launched for 3.88 and it looks like you got some really good ones. They do limit 10 per person.

Then why did you bother posting in that thread if you have no skin in the game?

I got stu.club on day1. It's my name, apparently a university in china, and has 30 acronyms on tfd.com. Short and Sweet. I just liked it instantly :)

    Ideas,

If I could offer some advice about registering .CLUBs. First think about 1 or 2 word concepts that you can build a business around. Especially if that business has a repeat buying potential (i.e. shaving.club) or a community that you can serve with a blog (i.e. wideawake.club) -- a community of insomniacs. If you do buy a name to sell please list for a fair price on SEDO or Afternic. Consider names in an industry that you know so that you can market those names to the endusers.

    Colin,

I see your vision of "CLUB's" being mostly singular or developed business concepts with a branded name. However, I thought outside the box and picked some of the largest party city.club names. Although there is no specific club exact match name revolving around these geo's, it definitely could attract tourists to the area with a community of club goers. In essence, a singular targeted market.

What is your take on that approach?

We picked up a few that we felt used the .Club extension well and the completed URL left little doubt as to what we do on the website. One example is NorthwestWine.Club. Pretty straight forward

So many great names. I am partial to wine clubs myself. Although, I only registered about 10 names for myself. (As I don't want to appear to be in conflict here) I did register vintages.club and winecellar.club. I think strong geo names combined with a commonly known club will do well. Niagarawines.club for instance, or Dubaihotels.club (which I noticed someone in this forum mentioned earlier).

    Namepros will join the negativity.club

You want offers on yours too? As long as you don't accept them I'll make them.

.club is useful for people that want to create a domain for their club but realistically, how many clubs are there willing to invest $$$ to setup a club? Generic names don't work anyway. You're more likely to sell AlbertaChess.club than Alberta.club - wtf is a city.club?

AlbertaClub.com is listed and yours for $1800 as a defensive reg.

What a waste of time this extension is for resellers. People don't seem to understand the difference between a domain that's great for personal use and one that is great as an investment. Maybe wine.club for a national wine club - but how many of those are there?

    BeatGtldDomainInvestorsOverTheHeadWithaBigAss.Club
    or
    ilostmoneyongtlds.club

    Are available.

    Grace,

We will list a large portion on SEDO or our premium names on SEDO. We do however, have a couple thousand great names that will be released in October. They were delayed due something ICANN called "Domain Collision". There has been some discussion about how we will release these names but no decision has been made yet. An auction may be ideal for releasing these names.

I am confident that my .club will sell, for at least 10 times my initial buy in.
