Offer received - Advice needed

Hi guys, I need some advice in terms of the next step.

I received an email this morning regarding my domain name: gwars (dot) com.
The buyer simply enquired whether the domain name was for sale and is from a legit company (PM me if you'd like to know the name of the company).

I replied saying that I didn't know much about domains or the value of this one and that I would like him to make an offer so that we could take it from there.

Within a couple of hours I had the following response:

No problem, I am the same, dont buy domains professionally. I just
bought galactiwars.com because I was a big fan of this game back in the
80's during BBS days and am thinking of trying to revive it in some
newer-better fashion. People sometimes called the game gwars.com so this
is why I am interested in it. I dont have a lot of money to spend on it
but I just wanted to check.

Anyhow I was thinking something fair like $500 or similar. Let me know
what you think.

I think I would be better off holding out for a higher sale due to the fact that I have had other offers in this region before and it is a short brandable domain name.

I agree, its a very very brandable Gaming domain IMO

Its also a good one for a GuildWars Fan/affiliate site which may be why you have had 10 offers on it so far !

I read somewhere in the above website that they hold $100,000 competitions !

I have had quite a few offers on it, and the best thing is that I managed to grab it for reg fee just after it expired!

Those competitions sound big, is there anyway to get in on that?
