I think it's going to be real big - You may find this some sort of indication - It is off sedo's website
"If the Sunriseโs second phase numbers are any indicator, the savvy domainer would be well-suited to register the domain name of his or her choice as soon as possible. On February 7th, 2006, the initial Sunrise phase was extended to allow companies that were not trademark holders, as well as domains focused on literature and art works, to register for a .eu TLD. During the first hour alone of that period, EURid received 71,235 applications for the new extension.
A few of the most popular domains requested during that period were sex.eu (with 23 applications), and business.eu and realestate.eu (both with 12 applications). Germany led the way during that first hour with almost 17,000 new applications while the Netherlands was close behind with 13,400.
Already, barely four weeks later, there are more than 320,000 applications for a .eu extension, and the Landrush invitation hasnโt even been extended yet!
It is believed that the .eu extension will break 1,000,000 new registrations in its very first year. In comparison, the .us extension has yet to break the million mark in its 3 year existence
