The problem with the dash is that it misses one valuable feature of a numeric, that it can be easily typed in a cell phone. I have been scanning the NNNNN.com's and while most of these are gone there are a few good words that haven't been registered in the numeric forms yet.

(spells "0 down" for a auto sales website or something similar).

that spelling stuff is not where its at with numerics imo

its special meanings, ie. 777 or zipcodes for 4 and 5 NNNNN
for NN-N & N-NN it is dates,birthdays etc

i personally love N-N-N.com as next best thing to NNN.com if you cant afford and as logos and visually they look great.

the fact the '-' is in the same line as the numbers is an extra bonus

makes for quick typing.

taking the zips out of it and really nice like 55555 or 50505 or something really memorable, i would take 5-7-5.com in a heartbeat over 54673 for example as for every extra didgit you lose memorability on random numbers

the even spacing of something like 5-7-5.com makes it look great and they look great in browser bar too

i am a fan of numeric domains, but each category has their place and use.
i plan to get more.but of different types. :hehe: :imho: :sold:

i said ages ago there should be a small section at least for numerics, not just a thread even. dnf have it
