Hello All,
I've just read that officials from the EU, America, Russia and China meet today, to discuss the problem of the president of Iran's persistance in trying to develop nuclear energy.
I've not started this thread to be controversial - or ask whether it would be in the interests of world peace for certain countries to develop nuclear energy - but to ask who has the right to decide who should be allowed nuclear energy?
Iran's president told the west recently, ...."your arsenals are full to the brim, yet when it's the turn of a nation such as mine to develop peaceful nuclear technology, you object and resort to threats...."
I'm not saying for one minute that Iran's wish to produce nuclear energy is purely for peaceful purposes (India, Pakistan and Israel have developed developed nuclear energy - and now have WMD) but who has the official right to tell certain countries that to develop nuclear energy is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated?
