I plan on developing this, using a Google Maps API. Nothing special but, eh, oh well :D I may have fun with it.

this is not an appraisal, sorry. but why not develop the domain further? it is a very nice sounding domain. you can try http://www.ian.com or http://www.wired-destinations.com/ ( which seems to have more hotels, in my area :p ) rather than just be content with google maps :D

This is one of those that will need both marketing and development for value potential. Current search, overture, and length suggest mid XX. Properly developed as you plan to do would bring the the value to mid XXX to low XXXX. The name itself is generic enough to provide more that just maps. You can create itinerary feautures, highlight sightseeing locations, hotels, bus schedules, train, air, and much more. Overall, opinion of this name is average to good as is. Good luck with your development.

I think you may need to ask yourself a few questions before heading into this undertaking.

• Tourists from what country?
• Visiting what location?
• Why would they visit your site?

If your site offers something different i.e. geared toward a German audience visiting Las Vegas you have that niche new sites need to gain a foothold in this competitive category.

Wholesale mid $45, retail $200 to $350. Much more with appropriate development. IMHO

Definetly XXX undeveloped. low or mid not sure though but they are both great keywords

if you developed it you could get some great traffic and revenue

and by the way IAN isn't good for tourist stuff. I was with them for JetRates and it was mostly hotel, car, and flight.
