I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

It is the case for .com. That is, if you type a word such as "Spout" the exact match .com shows as the #1 result. It would seem to me, from a buyers perspective, that showing all exact match TLDs first would be worthy - but currently that isn't how Atom shows the results. Exact match being #1 is only true for .com - even for .ai, if someone types a keyword and the exact match TLD is avail, it was not shown first.

I put in a request to Atom to modify this - we shall see where it leads
Yes I agree with you, if someone is looking for abc and abc.now is listed as a premium domain then it should be top of the list unless an exact match in .com , Org , Net , io etc are also available.

If you go into a pet shop looking for a white rabbit, the shop assistant should try to sell you a white rabbit and not a cat that looks like a rabbit.

Picked up 2 more. 1 premium, and 1 reg.

Is anyone getting any views on their .now names at Sedo? I'm getting almost nothing. Meanwhile other lesser TLDs like .cam are getting views.

The fact that large conglomerates are using .now’s

Sky.now redirects to NowTv.com

Yahoo.now redirects to Yahoo.com. Same is the case with NowTv.now which redirects to NowTv.com,

I would have appreciated it more, had the company used Free.now as their main website page, instead of redirecting it to Free-Now.com,
Hi

i'm sure others who invested in new extensions would appreciate companies using the gtld/cctld that they registered too.
it's the same hope when .xyz was trending and .co and .io and more recently .ai.

but the fact is, sure they may invest, just like you and i, but majority of them are redirecting to .com.
and if they aren't redirecting to a .com, then in the future they hope to be able to buy the .com.

imo...

Hi

when others put in requests to leave it as is, then what?

imo....

Meanwhile other lesser TLDs like .cam are getting views.

Hi

.cam has more age than .now and in the past was also found have some typo traffic for .com

imo...

If others put in requests to not show exact match alt TLDs then it will be up to Atom to decide the merit of the 2 conflicting requests.

Re .cam, that's interesting re typo traffic. Hadn't thought of that. The "o" is very far from the "a" on the keyboard so that seems weird to me - but perhaps somewhat possible. My point in brining up cams was solely to say - .now is getting very little views. Perhaps it is as you say though, it is just too new to get views. I was just wondering if anyone else is getting views to ascertain if it was my name(s) or the TLD causing the issue.

Decided to try to reg a few non related SLDs. Not sure how non-related SLDs work with TLDs. For example;

Action verbs work well with .now
Tech for .io
Games for .gg

I do wonder however, how strong (>300 taken TLDs) would work when unrelated to the TLD. They are highly desired and in use across the web (and across TLDs). So due to the high demand, perhaps these sorts of names can sell.

So I picked up a dozen to test. I'll submit these to Atom to see how they feel about them. Atom did accept some of these sorts of names as premium (Sword, Giant, Polaris, Meteor, etc). so it seems like I should be able to at least get them listed. Whether unrelated SLDs sell is another matter.

Anyone have any experience selling unrelated SLDs in any TLD (other than com/net/org)?

I pointed my domains back to Atom after listing at Sedo a week or so ago. All of my .now domains have slowed down except for benefits. Still no offers/sale so I take with a grain of salt.

Interesting. Just had a short 5L action verb declined at Atom. It is taken in 175 TLDs. Spray. Seems to have a lot of use possibilities and appears much better than some of the non-action words accepted. Male, Sword, Giant, Amber, Quotation, Diva, Plenty? These were all accepted... but an action verb that could go with many use cases wasn't? Very weird imo.

Guess I'll wait a few weeks and resubmit.

Someone took Bypass today. Saw it sold for $11k as BypassAi.com earlier today on X... someone came and scooped it up asap. Good to see people see sales and then grab the .now immediately. That shows there is worth among the TLD at least among investors. Still many TLDs sitting there for Bypass. plus, mobi, team, ltd, center, direct, all available. But .now, a newer TLD went first and immediately.

I picked up a name Atom's Ai loves today in .now (~250 TLDs taken)
I don't take their price estimate seriously as we all know there is only one sale so far. But it is nice to see in print anyway :tightlyclosedeyes:

I just got Investor and Sneakers rejected, registered in 356 and 247 tlds. I was surprised by this, the only thing I can think off is that I had the suggested price at $20k for both, usually I have between $7.5 and $10K. I would of thought pricing would not make a difference as I can only price within set limits approved by Atom.

Hi

for sure, you overpriced those fresh handregs.
they don't even fit with the extension

still, pricing limitations imposed by the platform could/would be contradictory to their appraisal tool value, if/when value is higher than the limit.

also think some are expecting too much, waay too soon.

from what i'm seeing,
the # of tld's registered does not apply, (except to domainers) as being a factor with this extension.
one has to think of what fits, because all keywords don't.

and those that don't, don't speak loud enough to be heard over those that do.

imo...
