I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

I'm not sure if I understand correctly.
These are subdomains, aren't they? Why isn't it mentioned on the site?

These are called third level domains which are not official TLDs. They are not sanctioned by ICANN or the primary registry of the TLD and dilute the TLD. Further, businesses would be unwise to choose them as they are not concise like top level domains and are easily mistyped and misremembered by customers.

And great question about why it's "not mentioned on the site". Confuses rather than clarifies exactly what is being offered. Some might find that intentional.

Umm, not entirely true. No one's really calling them TLDs. These domains have been used for as long as domains have existed.

.co.com, .eu.com, .com.au, .it.com, .us.com, .ac.uk, .org.uk, .cricket.club, .uk.com etc are used widely.

For example:
Wasabi USA uses wasabi.us.com/
Asos fashion uses asos.us.com
Alliance uses alliance.us.com/
Vermont Rail: vrs.us.com/
GSS: gss.eu.com

A large portion of internet is based on domains like that.

It is also said that, phonetically and rhythmically, domains with two dots tend to be more memorable due to structure, segmentation and instructional vibe. No wonder, most big tech SaaS and government portal urls follow this structural pattern.

Cheers.

One of the coolest .now instances: co.now domain

Whatever the above is ....its a really badly researched idea. Why would someone want .co.now when 99.99% of .now is still available. Could people who want "co" not just register DonutCo.now ? The realty is that no one will want a .co.now , not even for free.

It says what it is: .co.now. Similar domain offerings are and have been available for decades offered by pretty much all registrars. One example is .co.com, and another more recent one is .it.com. I think it's pretty cool that they have launched .co.now. Great recognition for .now and its potential for mainstream adoption.
How are you related to co.now / Rocket domains?

It is a mistake to look at domaims solely from an investor's perspective.

The industry is bigger than the run of the mill TLDs. As I said before, most of the internet is actually built on second level domains. World's second largest domain registrar and registry provider, Team Internet /Centralnic, is behind .us.com second level domain. It is available from all registrars and widely adopted. Same is true for .it.com, and many other options. In fact, .it.com appears at the top of keyword search results on lots of registrar websites.

Registrars, registries and businesses create and invest in these because there is always demand for intuitive naming options. To a customer, a domain is just their address, it doesnโ€™t matter if itโ€™s a TLD or a private registry, as long as it works for their brand.

Innovative registrars and registries, who think outside of the box, know this: the future is not just about what everyone is offering, itโ€™s about innovation and providing unique, functional, affordable names that people can use.

No it doesn't, Watson.

It does, Sherlock. Look for a tutorial on how to see someone's signature. Screenshot attached for your convenience.

You're right. It's understandable, though, as we mostly look at things from a TLD investor's narrow perspective on this forum. But there is a whole world to consider from the viewpoint of registries, registrars, and end users. I just wanted to share a positive .now development thatโ€™s relevant to this thread.
