What I don't get is why do idners keep telling others to buy as if they care. I am pretty sure that none of the IDNERS care if someone else here makes a lot of money in idn domains or any other domains for that matter.

I believe in IDN and own 0 because I stick to what I know and I know that I don't know enough about all the intricasies of IDN. From language to variant formats to CHinese and Japanese share some characters to a bunch of other stuff. I hope people do well with IDN I just don't understand the recruiting. This is the only business niche where people are first saying "competitor you are an idiot you don't know about IDN, and I am telling you you must buy." Usually people want to let others be ignorant why they mine all the gold. Now you would help your friends maybe but the idners are not talking to their friends they are talking to a whole forum I doubt they give two cents about except maybe to buy their IDNs. And if someone is going to come back with the line I am not trying to sell IDNs here, WHY are you recruiting just discuss IDN with likeminded IDNERS.

Why do you think people made that site? There is two google ads and a referral ad at the bottom. Like come on? That site was made to make the owner money. Not you.. It was made to allow you to click on there ads.. I would not be surprized if a kid made that and added in all those numbers.. So far I see no evidence of any kind of trading or ACTUAL money.. I can go place a bid on eBay for $1mill for a toy.. Doesn't mean I have to pay..

The unfortunate thing is that you will always get good and bad on every forum - that is the way of the world in general.

I have personally started looking at idns and have made numerous mistakes and have been told so in no uncertain manner by members appraising on a particular forum.eg. "It's crap" - to then have confirmed by another - "Yes it's crap". Remember I am a newbie seeking advice and hopefully encouragement.

This is course is not the norm and behind the scenes I have received good advice and encouragement from others. Despite my abrasive approach in some cases.

There will always be some people with a "holier than thou" attitude who will try to ram things down your throat when a simple softly softly approach would normally pay dividends.

It was quite sad to see the true colo/urs of some people put on display in both of the forums in question. But at least we now know where some of the problems lay.

There is room in this business for all colo/urs , creeds, religions and in particular variations on domain names- let's try and keep it a simple as that. JMO

Yet that is basically what you are CLAIMING to be doing. These names will be worth millions, your missing the boat, blah blah blah, w/e.

So what if Rom has posted something that you don't agree with. Just get on with what this forum is about - IDN's and NOT all this pathetic arguing. Start doing something for IDN's instead of alienating the entire NamePros community with your petty pointless squabbles.

I have no clue. If he knew it would bring people like you and your friends here, I'm certain he wouldn't have bothered.

The sooner he kicks you out/you give up arguing, the sooner the IDN forum can move onto a solid footing, earn some well needed respect from the rest of the forum and maybe even recruit some normal domainers into the realms of IDNs.

I think that'll only happen when you stop this behavior, get serious about IDN's and, more importantly, start respecting the rest of the NamePros community.

Why do you care so much what people decide to invest in? Are people not allowed to invest in what they know? You are speculating in IDN's just like everyone else is speculating in other aspects of the domain industry. I'm not sure what threads like this are supposed to accomplish, but you're only serving to turn people off on even hearing about IDN's. Was that your goal all along?

The above quote is from one member on IDNF... the idn1234 guy or whoever he is. You are portraying IDNF the total opposite of what it really is. You are reporting it like the DOJ reports the Iraqi war...(full of propaganda).


If we don't register the IDN someone else will. I see alot of American names registered by those in Korea and Japan. Should we tell them to buzz off on english words? Thought not....... They didn't seem to care when they regged our names so why should we care vice versa.

Also there is already a Japanese company that owns a few thousand domains and have been parking them all asking for thousands for each IDN.

Most startups cost a few hundred thousand....... This startup of approximately 5000 x 7 = $35,000 is much better. All he has to do is sell 1-5 to make back the investment. Tokyo.net was already sold by an IDNF member for $10k. (yes a .net)

People in india don't count for the english overture tool. It only tracks those that use the U.S. yahoo etc.

Yes, there are many more higher paying keywords in Japan than in teh U.S.

Weird question!

If someone in Japan had invented the net we would not be able to type english into the url bar. We'd have to learn japanese which would be a hassle. We'd have to either bookmark the individual site or go to an english search engine and search in english to find the URL which would be japanese with english content.

Your response = C- as being a leader for domaining on namepros you should be on the forefront of these new movements.
