.tv Not really looking for appraisals, more ideas

I got a bunch of regular reg fee .TV's that I want to develop or flip.

Being a little OOO for a year or two (my apologies), I wonder what you think to these names now were in '09: Flip or develop?

WiMax.tv
Rail.tv
Filth.tv
24hournews.tv
SportTV.tv
Featuring.tv

The name that absolutely ran out from your list and slapped me in the face was Rail.TV

What a great name. Take a look at http://www.bahntv.de and click "Video ansehen"

Rail.Tv could have the same type of content and be as popular as Bahn Tv is in Germany (yep, it is VERY popular). The number of rail enthusiasts on the planet is massive.

I would hold on SportTV.tv and 24HourNews. If you have the budget (or technical partner) you could always take free televisual feeds on news and sports articles and run a real 24-7 channel for both areas.

The other four hold no real interest for me personally, but I can see a number of the more interesting members here showing a modest interest in Filth.

I watch bahntv.de all the time and yeah that would be an excelent format rail.tv ... i awaych banhtv.de especialy when Im in the states and get home sick..

Filth.tv is nice to me, isnt hard setting up a tube site and theres plenty of free content to use provided by adult affiliate programs, if your into developing an adult site.

I think you're in the UK? Terrible.tv could be something like Harry Hill's TV Burp, or that show that Chris Tarrant used to host - a kinda showcase of clips of the worst TV from around the world. Would probably require a lot of work and regular updating to make it popular, though

I'm fairly new to domaining but have been reading voraciously. The overall message at the moment seems to be, if you don't need to sell wait for the market to pick up a bit?

Funnily enough, WiMAX.tv is the one that gets the most interest. Adrian (Australia.tv Adrian - Sigh, wonder what hes up to now) offered me some good money for that several years ago. Bit of a punt but i think WiMAX is beginning to show signs of traction

Theres a bunch of bands out there that call them selves "filth" might wanna check into it..

i know theres a "flith" band in the Utica NY area.

I use to have a buddy who a band named "philth" with a ph.. they where a phisch cover band..

Here's a (slightly half-baked) thought that might kill two birds. Could you develop an iModo premium template especially for .TV sites (and TV.com)? I know the premium templates have the option at the moment to have a page of videos as the front-page, but maybe you could build an option that had videos on all pages/sections (perhaps the ability to add keywords for sub-pages).... something like that?

Might give you somewhere to park those domains of yours, and might also be popular with members of this TV forum?

The other posts gave you good ideas already. However, it's a really bad time to
"flip" or sell right now. Since they are non-premium hold on to them all. Good solid names with development potential.

Ian, all are very nice names. Wimax stands out, but I think 24hournews.tv might be easiest to develop with a video news feed etc. By the way, congrats on domainpress.com, that is an exceptional accomplishment.

In the meantime, as an experiment, I put a couple of my TVs on the current iModo system, using the Video option as the home page -

Home Theater Systems
Graphic Design

For five minutes work, they look OK I think. Only five videos show (could you have a "more videos..." link to a second page?) but seems a better option than standard parking for TV domains you plan to develop?

Agree, very good name for adult site, you can start with adult tube scripts.. (pm if interested in links (I am not affiliated with them)).
