Just browsing my lists of domains with my 20 or so registrars and decided to make a list of all my .tv's...

WIMAX.tv if it becomes the default standard will bring big tech interest IMO in the $xx,xxx.

If you are talking about WIMAX TV netowrk TM isssue, please poke further, you will note that

Current Status: A non-final action has been mailed. This is a letter from the examining attorney requesting additional information and/or making an initial refusal. However, no final determination as to the registrability of the mark has been made.

So it is not registered yet and probably may not be granted.

I did lot of reading about TM issues in recent times and learned pretty good infomation.

For that TM on "Wimax TV network" this is the goods and servcies offered:

Use of High speed wireless Internet to broadcast television quality programs over the Internet

Thats a pretty hard beaten category, there is no commerce in it. For TM, you need the TM used (or will be used) in commerce, and commerce in the sense of real commerce meaning goods packaged with TM printed on them, tags and stuff like that.

More over, this TM application is not turned into national application. And its for "intent to use". In my opinion, they have hard time proving the requirements as you can see in the status above saying they did not provide requisted information. Of course that communication is done 5 months ago and nothing after that given.

Thanks for the heads up IZO (and Game), but ive discussed with this before with "the knowledge" - JBerryhill *cough* and heres what he had to say to me..

"Long story short - no real TM issues. *As a certification mark indicating compliance when stamped on a piece of equipment*, then the standards group might have some control. But "wimax" is a widely used referent term to refer to wimax stuff."

I like the potential for "TERRIBLE.TV" as a developed website as best of the bunch, IMHO.
Are you looking for honest, humble appraisals of each of these here, as well?

PS. Did I mention via PM or otherwise; that I'm considering an ".TV" registration for myself - just ONE, and definitely to be developed (time permitting)?!! Got to keep it a secret for now, of course ... shhhhh.
