.tv No more regs...

"No More Regs!" At least that is what I keep telling myself like an alcoholic tells himself "No More Drinks!" and then he goes back to the bar the next day. The difference is my bar seems to be the aftermarket for .tv domains.

I thought long and hard about this little issue and I have come to realise that I see a lot of potential in a lot of good names. The reality is that I cannot develop a fraction of all the names in my portfolio, and I have already began taking steps to develop some of them, like AllThings.tv, HotNames.tv, and Hsp n.tv.

As of right now, most of the great names, if not all, have been registered or will be available for register on May 1st. I know I cannot afford to acquire all of the names I have on my watch list. In fact, I probably should not register any at all.

But .tv is hot and getting hotter. If you did not notice it by the increased number of posts in the .tv subforum, then I fully expect you will when Demand Media's big push begins on May 1st. The last year has certainly been an exciting one, but if I had to bet, I would bet that this next year will be the one that determines .tv's future.

Thats it I am focused on development. I have 14 names that I am happy with and 1 unsure about. Lets see what May brings. But for sure its exciting times. I appreciate that I am just learning the ropes about .tv and sure have missed the boat on so many good names. So I shall sit back quietly, strategically develop a quarter of my portfolio to test the water and .. watch in awe as the gurus turn out great sites and the market hots up.

But it so tempting I have a watchlist of 20+ that I rate .. but I shall be good for now.

One way to kill the addiction of regging .TV is to replace the addiction with the regging of .mobi and you will cut your costs in half. Just kidding....carry on folks....it is impossible to not pick up a gem when you come across one and see it lying there screaming take me home already

Light touch paper and ignite .. it surely is the most commercial (yes ok .com excluded) But it cannot be ignored... for emerging new media video etc .. it has to be sizzling ... and sorry dot commers. But for that space it eclipses it by far ..

The extension .. as a suffix it is internationally recognised..

TV means televison to a huge global audience. For the established and emerging internet surfers worldwide it merits engagement .. Acesss to news, sports, and communities that offer up a bigger picture of our world today.

This year after the DM May 1st re launch and subsequent aftermarket sales will set the trend for the extension .. lets watch, develop and wait ..
