Non atomic bomb test to pack a big bang..

WASHINGTON -- The Pentagon plans to explode a 700-ton conventional bomb on June 2 at the Nevada atomic test site as part of a military program to develop weapons for destroying underground enemy bunkers.

The blast will be one of the largest bomb tests since the end of the Cold War.

"It is the first time in Nevada that you'll see a mushroom cloud ... since we stopped testing nuclear weapons," James Tegnelia, head of the Pentagon's Defense Threat Reduction Agency, said Thursday.

as far as i know Iran and north korea havnt done anything to america
with your logic any country or organisation should be allowed to arm themselves against america...

Really? Perhaps you should evaluate what you know about history if they haven't done anything to America.

Anyways, back to the discussion. This sounds fairly similar to the MOABs that they have been exploding down in the Florida swamps.

Bunkers...all the cool countries have them. Seriously though, drawing such a quick conclusion is quite the conclusion to make. Most countries have bunkers and now you're dealing with terrorists who live in caves and inhabit all forms of bunkers.

So, somewhat hopefully, they'll be more to deter someone else from attacking us. National security is a great priority in our country here.
