Wow that's just amusingly unbelievable. You'd have to be new to the whole Internet thing to fall for it.

Also, for a phishing attempt that was just...weak. You'd think if they really wanted to scam customers that bad they'd at least get someone whose mother tongue is English so that people would actually think it could be real

Yeah, I got a big kick out it. Had to go back and re-read it several times to get the gist of the scam..."solve your problems". All my problems would be solved if I didn't get 3-5 various paypal and ebay bogus emails a day.

Do you think the give away was actually having the words "ebay logo" at the top of the page?

I wondered if I put this in babelfish or worldlingo if I would get a different translation? I did! I love it! Makes perfect sense now!!!

I think I'm going to forward this to every English teacher in the United States:

If you put something into BabelFish in say, French, and it translates it to English, can you translate it back to French and have it say the same thing you put in before?

Not sure. It won't do english to english, so I took the original content and entered it as if it was spanish then translated it to english. Sorry about all the lower case letters. I know it is proper to capitalize the first letter of countries and languages, but this does not fall into those categories...just having too much damn fun.

or something like "eBay sent this message to John Doe (username). "
