No intention of developing

I was just thinking of an idea i had (im obviously not the first person to do so). But when i typed in a domain that i thought would be perfect it had gone, thats ok and fair enough i cant complain at that, but when i seen that it was just a page saying this is for sale or even 1 of them pages where you display links and get paid for the clickthroughs etc its really annoying.

The internet is about being able to share information and be a place to work/have fun etc etc. I know im really saying this on the wrong forum as a lot of people on here make money this way, but ive been thinking and domains should be taken off people who buy domains purely to just sell on and have no intention what so ever in developing them.

rant over, and im prepared for a lot of backlash but i think i have a valid point.

Yeah, those lazy basterds :D Love them (when they actually sell you their names below $1k), and hate them (when they don't).

And after you do buy that nice and brandable one-word dotcom for below 1K, do you turn around and develop, or try to sell it for mid four figures to an end-user? This reminds me of Animal Farm. D-:

I have to admit, after seeing another thread about classifieds.com, I have to say that I can see why it bugs some when folks buy completely good domains and never even develop them even a little. All the owner of classifieds.com needs to do is install one of many FREE classified ad scripts you can find all over the internet. Yet, all you get when you go there is "The Internet Classifieds". What a waste of a great domain.

Such a domain is worth a lot of money IMO, but it would be worth a lot more (and might actually sell for real) if it were simplly developed with a free script. It takes only minutes to insall such a script.

Just a case of a lame, lazy "domaineer". And if it is true that the domain sold for only 1K, the last owner is obviously not too smart. (The concept of Survival of the Fittest comes to mind here).

Survival of the Fittest, Animal Farm, 1984, Lord of the Flies? This controversy reeks of another plot created by the machines, enforced by Mr Smith(s), that is designed w/ the intention of keeping, us, the organics, occupied and in line. :D

Again this comes down to who is anyone to tell anyone else what to do with their domain? In a free society this is none of anyones business. IMO
