NNNL.com and LNNN.com Discussion

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Well, NNNL.coms have officially taken off. I've been keeping track of them for a while. They are now selling consistently. Nearly every Chinese premium NNNL.com is getting full backorders now. First is in all of those.

There are only 20,000 Chinese premiums of these. Less if you don't consider 4s and bad placed 0s. Today at GoDaddy Expiring Auctions there were more than 200 of these expiring. You can go see the remaining auctions in progress. Floor is over $50+ depending on the number combos. Floor is solidly over $100 for patterns. I'm sure you've seen them if you've spent any time on DropCatch or Pheenix in the last couple of weeks.

If you regged fee any of these a couple months ago, you're going to see a nice return. By the time I went to reg fee them, all the premiums had already been regged :(

any ideas what the single letter could mean?
I mean, so far we always saw letters going in pairs

I am not sure, but I know but the Chinese are buying them. At Pheenix you see beianx (first), biddcom, and other Chinese proxy services picking them up. At DropCatch first1 (first) is gobbling these up.

I'm interested in this one. I registered some NNNL.org's yesterday. I know .org isn't big, but hopefully I will get a little profit. (all my Ns are 8s)

I'd say to stay away from the .orgs for these but if you're picking up 888L.orgs, with the impending LLLL.org buyout, that could pay off very nicely..

Yes, all 888s. I picked up 13 yesterday. (Which included some vowels, though.)

Years ago, I regged 503d (com) (50 3d, LOL) when the 3d craze was full-blown. Now that 50 inch 3D TVs haven't exactly taken off, perhaps it will morph into a CHIP.

I have no plans to enter into this market, though.

The LNNN.coms are the same way...similarly priced to the NNNLs.

NNNL especially 888L in this current market is liquid gold and they will sell more than hang reg so there will be some ROI it all depends on how much you are looking for. I just regged 888L what it could in .co .biz .me and all 888 CHIP in .Club. With the current numeric auctions at sedo in .Club it will help raise the value slightly. IMO

This is a buyers and sellers market as a year from now when it comes to renewals from all the new investors current portfolios who knows what the market will do? If the investment market recovers in China they might move on from domaining into something else... Most of us would probably have lost $$$ by getting excited and registering a lot of domains that ended up dropping when we first started domaining?

The new money in domaining from the Chinese investment market is crazy as hand regs only a month ago can now sell from $100 - $1000+

Only 6 months ago there was endless supply of LLL.co LLL.biz LLLL.org LLLL.net LLLLL.com NNNNNN.com NNNNNNN.com NNNN.org NNNN.co NNNN.biz NNNNNN.net and the list goes on. Even I was skeptical about the following domains extentions but registered a few of each around then and now see some good returns on ROI. Domaining has its risks but at the current moment its a buyers and sellers market.

Nothing surprises me at the moment when it comes to numeric.

Whilst there will be a lot of interest in NNNN and CHIP domains this is also an opportunity to find different domains while most domainers are looking in this space...

That's what I figured when I first saw the 888L's.org available. No one was paying attention to them. I actually waited a day or two before getting them...wondering if they are not wanted. I figured that I will take the gamble.

Just wait for a few months as all the LLLL.org will be sold out and it will have more value than now. If worse comes to worse you can always sell it as bulk deal and make your money back...

I think in the coming months we will also see LLNN.com and NNLL.com increase in value and this will also help sales of LNNN and NNNL. It's such a crazy market that its hard to predict trends but as long as you have 8 with CHIPS it seems to have liquid value of $20+ especially with less than 5 characters IMO

I got about a dozen of the GD expiring today, having noticed the same trend as OP on drop auctions over the past couple weeks.

Your LLN.org will most likely sell faster in a few weeks once their is a total buyout of the LLLL.org and investors switch to other short character domain investments... I've made good little ROI recently on NLL.net

I think LNN.com and NNL.com will increase significantly in value over the next 6 months...

I think the $15K+ auction for YH88 is drawing a lot of attention to LLNN
https://www.namepros.com/threads/yh88-com-sold-for-15-050-rested-com-for-7-000.893662/

Of course there are only 676 LL88's so there's a premium attached to it, if it's a preferred chinese combo or a word. LL88's don't typically drop and have been registered since 90's and early 2000's, so congrats to the new owner.

Prices are on the rise, but there are still some good deals to be had if you study the namespace and mix ownership with chip flips and long term investments.

These will go as the LLL.com (8,000 combos) / LLLL.com (160,000 combos) and NNNNN.com (100,000 combos) / NNNNNN.com (1,000,000 combos) market will go. These drive all the alternative niches. As those markets, particularly the LLLL.com and NNNNN.com markets increase in value, many investors get priced out.

If they want to play the game they either have to go to an alternative extension like .net / .org or go longer like NNNNNN.com and beyond and LLLLL.com. OR you got to go to the hybrids like NNL.com (2,000 combos), LNN.com (2,000 combos), LLN.com (4,000 combos), NLL.com (4,000 combos).

And as logical or irrational as it may be, there does seem to be at least some relationship between the combinations and extensions. Time and time again you hear investors talk about the relationship in price between LLL.com and LLLL.com or LLLL.com and LLLL.net.

So it makes sense that just now LLNN.com (40,000 combos), NNLL.com (40,000 combos), NNNL.com (20,000 combos), LNNN.com (20,000 combos) are starting to pick up and get backordered. All combined these make up 120,000 combos so that's less than LLLL.com Chips, slightly more than NNNNN.coms, and substantially less than the million NNNNNN.com.

If you say that NNL.com and LNN.com are selling in the $1,500 - $2,500 range, then it makes sense that the NNNL.com and LNNN.com will start going in the $150 - $200 range or slightly below. Everything is interconnected!!!

If LLL.com / LLLL.com Chips and NNNN.com / NNNNN.com continue to rise. So will all these alternatives. If they fall, so will everything else.

Here is a recap of this week's action. These are just a fraction of the sales since the private caught auctions at SnapNames and NameJet are not included.

Prices are still pretty low but rising consistently. Floor is currently around $50 for random number combinations (no 4s) and $100+ for patterns. You can see there has been solid volume. LNNN.com is also on the up but there have been less expiring this month.
