Has anyone heard of this Glasgow-based operation called NicNames.co.uk Every now and again over the years I've received an invoice from them for domain names. The domain names listed on their invoices were registered with other companies. I think they got my name and address from a whois and decided to start sending me invoices. I ignored the letters thinking it was a scam. Today, I receive a letter from their Credit Control Department about my overdue account and they are asking for £412.47 ($700). The letter gives a phone number 0870 757 8885. When I try to phone it a voice says 'this number has not been recognised'. There is no name printed on the letter. What do you think I should do?

Nic(k)Names.co.uk - Sounds a bit dodgy :lol:
If the names were not registered with them I would email them once to see what they say.
Or Call Sales on: 0870 751 2021 (off their website)

Get rid of that letter i would suggest u. If some one gives u money then its fine but if they are asking u for money then must be a big fraud or something like that..Gte rid of that letter ASAP

Thanks for the advice. I entered "nicnames" and "scam" on msn.co.uk. This result came up. But when I press the link the article has gone.

If they keep bothering you forward the letters to the Office of fair trading.
Are you based in the UK ?
