Its prior use is actually what I would develop it as if I had the time to develop it: The quintessential place for actors, musicians, writers, etc to post their resumes for casting companies, publishers, etc. What should I be asking for this?

Edit: Apparently the PR of 6 showing on it is fake (wasn't aware PR could be faked but apparently so). Seeking appraisals then if it were a PR0 then. Stupid thread won't change to the title I changed it to!

Yikes...that would explain why it doesn't have the traffic a PR 6 would be expected to. Blah, oh well...appraisals on it if it was a PR 0 then? Note: I edited the original post to correct it.

Just doing some research on the recent scams in fake PR .. very easy to do a 301 redirect and increase your PR.

Needs development and branding.. reg fee - low xx as is.

I'm not generally one to try and make a case for my name, but reg fees undeveloped seems a tad low of an apprasal to me for a generic name that went for low 4-figures in a rather active drop auction with .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us, .de, .ws, .co.uk, .tv, .cn, .md, .nl, .be, .pl, .com.tw, and .ru taken and a decent amount of OST for "newstars" (not even a word) let alone "new stars". Might be just me though. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely looking into developing it into the website I stated in my initial post (will probably pay for development as I'm getting seriously bogged down with projects and development), but I've never seen it appraised that low before by anyone. I mean I would imagine someone wanting to get the name to develop the kind of site I detailed would expect to pay more than $7 to get this kind of name.

I just don't personally find that much value in it, sorry.. it has potential, but IMO, the true value will come from development.

Not to keep pressing on this, but would you say the same for another somewhat similar name I had, PayStars.com? It is similarly vague and would actually be much better off without the plural on Stars while I don't believe the same on NewStars.com. Why I ask is because I sold that for $1500 about half a year ago, which I've since been told was way under value by quite a few people. IMO, NewStars.com covers a broader market although admittedly maybe a less business lucrative one. Also, generically speaking, "new stars" is a vastly superior phrase to "pay stars" in search results and searches, and there are about 10 more extensions taken in it than PayStars.com, with most of the sites seeming to be developed upon (so not just one person snatching up loads of extensions).

To be quite frank, most opinions I've gotten have been in the high xxx to low xxxx range, which admittedly is below the mid xxxx that I think it is undeveloped, and I wouldn't have posted a thread about it again if it wasn't for my discovery of the PR 6 on it which then proved to be fake PR. :(

Anyways, I don't mean to be defensive on this, but seeing all the "reg fee" replies would be as if a group of people told me the house I just bought for $500,000 in San Diego amongst a neighborhood of similar $500,000 houses was worth only $5,000. :) Obviously real estate is just a TAD easier to appraise than domain names though, heheh.

I'm not saying it couldn't , wouldn't, or didn't sell in that range.. just that I personally wouldn't evaluate it that highly without development. An end user might willingly pay any amount for it. In the end, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Sorry to hear about the fake pagerank. This happened to me once while backordering a long time ago and the registrar let me go without anything. They said since you have been backordering from us for a while we will let this one go but don't make it a habit. I was very happy lol :)

I would say it's at least worht $50. You could make a site about rising stars.
