I own wbko.tv, wchs.tv, wchs8.tv, wibw.tv, witn.tv, wowt.tv, wrdw.tv, wsaw.tv, wsaz.tv, wtok.tv, wtvy.tv, and wvlt.tv. These are all names of news channels from across the country. you can go to this website and see the names http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gray_Television. The domains might not be worth much right now but I was thinking a couple years down the road when all the major tv networks switch to .tv they might. Please share your thoughts.

You just wasted money... a lawyer will sue you unless you have a business plan for each one of those names and can prove the abreviation is intended for a business...but I think you will still loose the case.

If you just bought those try to get a refund now, or else u just flushed a few hundred dollars down the toilet bowl.

I think you are a newbie..dont go behind Trademarked names..Try getting a refund...

Well to end this on a more positive note,
instead of buying station call letters, they may want to try combining the city, town, or state with the word news.

Like NEWYORKNEWS.TV (which im sure is taken, but you know what I mean)

Many of these have already been bought up, but you may be able to find one.

Little different spin.

I know there are tm issues in the domain world, but let's face it, there may be many reasonable uses and outlets for his 4-letter domains. Granted, coming in here advertising them as news agencies was not he best thing he could do for his domain health. But realistically, THAT was his newbie mistake. I would be extremely surprised if he lost any of those names. Conversely, I would not be surprised if he got some nice offers from the TV stations.

TV news stations are smart, ok..... there are smart people associated with news stations. If they had wanted these names... they would have grabbed them.
