Newbie here -- valuation question

Hello!

I've been reading your forum here and learning quite a bit! By way of introduction, I'm an IT professional and have responsibility over my companies domain name portfolio. Generally we buy and keep (forever!), but more recently we've been trying to clean up.

I have a domain that's very old (24 years), but has been relegated to just redirecting to our primary domain and has been this way for many years.

I've sold a few domains in the past, but this one is proving tougher to valuate than the previous. I have an offer of high $x,xxx for it, but wonder if it's worth more.

The domain is wadsworth . com . Any thoughts ? (and should I provide additional information?)

I think I'm going to take biggies advice and do some more research ... seems like there could be other potential buyers...at least I should try to get a feel for that possibility.

I don't want to spend too much time on this, but I see it as a learning experience. Clearly I've got much to learn and much reading to do.

you can't take the advice and at the same time, say:

"you don't want to spend too much time on this, but i see it as a learning experience"

one only learns, in time.
and your domain became more valuable, over time
so, now... time is on your side.

doing the research, will educate you on it's kinetic value, it's intrinsic value and the potential value.

imo...

Great advice. The learning experience is more personal than job-related---I'm enjoying seeing how this all works, thus the time spent (much of it my own personal time)...but from a business perspective its difficult to spend much time on something that's not really core function for us.

Both you you made great points that make me think.
