domain Newbie 2 Domain Names & Appraisal research

O.k. this question is also listed in the Newbie thread.
1. IAMSOFT.COM
2. HEALTHYGOODFOOD.COM.
On Swiftappraisal.com which belongs to Sedo.com, the free Appraisal there gave me an appraisal of between $8000.00 and $20,000.00 approximatley for each name. How far off is this!!! I.e. what would the difference be between a Professional appraisal at $40.00 or $50.00 and this appraisal. Are these names even worth $10.00. I don't know if that free appraisal is at all accurate or somewhere in the ball park or if these names are not worth getting a professional appraisal so as to boost there sale.
p.s. I put one of the names at greatdomains.com and they told me even though the name has value they can't use it. What ball park figure would the value be and are these good for those parking pay per click garage things. Just looking for a general understanding and if i should even use that free appraisal thing for a round about figure or leave it alone. Thank you..

Of the two, I'd say healthygoodfood, tho long, is worth low xx undeveloped.. might be good developed as a recipe site or for health foods.

Personally, I would not use any appraisal service, especially ones that you have to pay for (I know you said this was a free one). I think the best thing to do is ask your fellow Domainers what they think it's worth, in a forum like this. These people do this day in and day out, I would think that they have a pretty good feel about the worth of a Domain. Mind you, there is a big difference between a re-seller and an end user, and that's where you have the price difference (imho). I kind of agree with dgridley above on low xx for healthygoodfood. I think this this Swiftappraisal is "way" off base here.

Thank you both, i appreciate that and sorry for the delay. Just one more among many more questions to come... Is there a place to find out how many times certain words or phrases are typed into various search engines, with and without .com .net ect.. extentions.... thank you...

Might be wrong here, but you can try OVERTURE, i think they work on the previous months searches for that particular word.
