Is Maryland baseball black and yellow? In my opinion this site is not aimed at youth. The theme is too dark. As for your logo. I don't see a logo, just a header. There is not much that would remind me of this site sorry to say.
Your header (which I presume is your logo) is just a mix of images, where as it should be something distinct that people can associate with your site. Something that you could use a fliers, letter heads and anything you might need to promote your site. To be honest I don't see you using that header everywhere.
Your forum does not even use the same header/design/theme. I found that disappointing. Once again it would be hard to remember your site, especially for the youth (with such a long website name and no distinct elements).
I like how you used the baseball theme on your links, however they do not work as well in Google Chrome. They look fine in Internet Explorer. Please test in multiple browsers to make sure your site works on a variety of computers. You may also want to look into your background, you have made it for your computer/ web browser, where as in mine it doesn't quite reach the edges of the browser and stops the website quite abruptly.
Lastly, the website was not all right at loading. The text was invisible until the background had loaded. It almost had me thinking there was no text. Your background image should not make the text's background. You should use a div with the color white for the background.
