Hi everyone! Just joined the NamePros forum on the advice of some friendly ccTLD domainers. I took their advice but I wasn't sure where to begin, so thought I would start with an introduction.
I'm originally from Canada, living in Australia, I've never been to Europe but it's on my bucket list
At the moment I'm a stay at home mum with 2 young kids and not a lot of time for much else! I started buying .com domains as somewhat of a hobby - originally with grand plans for each and every one... Things have changed though, and I won't have the time to develop/park/sell my domains properly as I initially intended, so I am trying to find an effective place to liquidate 70 or 80% of my portfolio as quickly as possible. Most of the domains are registered with GoDaddy, but I don't want to sell through GoDaddy auctions for obvious reasons. I've come across many "boutique" spaces to sell domains, and at the moment I just have a few listed up on Ebay, but there isn't much (any!) natural traffic of people looking for domains on ebay so I'm really not confident that it will be an effective method.
NamePros was recommended to me as a larger more effective community where I might have achieve a more complete result in a shorter space of time.
how would a newbie go about listing in the marketplace? Would I create a single thread and list all my available domains in the single post? I'm sure I will learn as I go along, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am still very interested in domaining hence the reason I would like to retain 20 - 30% of my portfolio, but I just found myself in a situation where I bit off far more than I can chew at the moment and am really trying to get back some breathing space if you know what I mean.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
