the Isle of Man has just opened up their second-level domain and they are hoping to attract the Instant Messaging community (not exactly well publicised though, eh?)

each domain costs £40 to register with the premium one and two letter names going for £995 and £495 per year respectively. nice if your name is K.im , T.im or J.im

I registered Games.im early morning on 4th and since then had been trying to get Hotel.im its 6 in the morning and finally got two more domains Hotel.im and Job.im, expensive but they worth buying.

Hi, yea. got it "approved". Then CC debited. My control panel had the domain for 6 hours & i could change its nameservers. I checked if the domain for available for regn, it was NOT.

Then they sent out a mail saying the domain is rejected. Now it was available again! May be you'll get the mail in a few hours! :hehe:

I actually regged it few mins from the first post of this thread!

Did you use "ns1.#####.com" or did you use ip 000.00.000?

I've got airlinetickets.im this morning so I have 6 now and none of them work

Good catches! I opted for "lawyer" over "attorney" only because it's shorter, but they both have similar UK Overture (not sure if that matters or not!) I was seriously looking at cellphone.im but opted for mortgage.im as my last .IM name. No more money left to reg!!!!!

Has any1 got refund / information on refund if the registry withdrew the domain? The registry wihtdrew a domain, and havent heard from them reg refund..!?

well it took them 5 days, but Meebo have just registered their IM domain. First end user I've seen.

I wonder if the registry even bothered to let any of the end user companies know that the .IM domain was coming out? Weird, considering they want it to become the extension for the IM community,
