I have received almost the same email about 30 times in the past week.
It's a better tactic than the "your account is frozen due to unauthorized use" one and more likely to panic the naive and get results.
A reminder to everyone - NEVER click a link - ALWAYS manually type the address yourself and check for information in your account no matter who the email is from.

I get these once a week. If I get an email that I believe to be real I'll log into my paypal account direct and check.
