Hey NamePros,

I'm Bob Evans — one of the early ISP founders from Palo Alto. After 30 years of collecting domain names I went to sell them and ran into the same wall everyone here knows: 15-20% commission, lock-in, and nobody doing anything proactively.

Sure, I'm open to agents and brokers working a deal for the right commission — but I won't be locked up. My domains are posted, I'm reachable, and any deal can happen.

That's exactly how DomainWorld.com works for everyone. Post your domains, stay reachable, stay in control. Agents welcome. No platform lock-in. No commission taken by us.

So I built DomainWorld.com.

What's different:

  • Zero commission on any sale
  • No lock-in or exclusivity required
  • 5 deal types: Auction, Buy It Now, Make an Offer, Rent-to-Own, Equity/Trade
  • Bundle listings — sell related domains as a group (unique to DomainWorld)
  • Direct seller-buyer contact
  • Built-in contract generator
  • DNS TXT ownership verification
  • 135+ currencies
  • AI domain appraisal at DomainWorld.ai
I have 150 of my own domains listed with 100 more to add. Looking for other sellers who want to list without giving away a cut of their sale.

Flat listing fee. You control your deal.

Would love feedback from this community — you know domains better than anyone.

Could you please go deeper about the 'flat listing fees '?

Yes, Basically, flat fees... I want someplace I could post domains and not be expected to Lock-them-up and wait for a reseller to move them or pay high commissions while they sat on a list. So, I created domainworld.com to function using credits...100 credits is just $5 (via builtin stripe). I give 100 Free to anyone registering - as site is brand spanking new. If they have a lot of domains, while this begins, I will give them 5x that free, if they contact me via the site form. It's 10 credits (50 cents) to post a domain there until its sold...flat fee, free parking with an valuation/analysis generation (best AI I know of tuned for domain names) is 5 credits (25 cents), 10 credits (50 cents). You get to describe what you are selling, link in the evaluation and an evaluation page becomes a parking page if you point your dns. You can also get a TXT validation to show others you control the domain. For example parking page for paloaltofiber.com , shows you a bundle of domains. Feature rich. Even contracts for 5 kinds of deals i would be interested in if someoen didnt want to buy my domain outright. Basically built , for everyone , what I wish existed. No commission, you can still leverage agents, and agents can leverage domainworld. Thank you for asking, Bob

I am thinking about adding a simple agent/broker signup process, which enables an agent to see if the domain seller/poster will pay finder-fee/commission if agent leads to the sale. The point of the site is to allow an owner to market without being locked in and stuck waiting or unable to market and produce a sale when the broker has not been able too/ or is to busy with other opportunities. I think most people would agree they are in favor of paying something for a sale, its just the market as I found it locks owners up, sites get in the middle of the transaction. DomainWorld does not get in the transaction. So there is no contract with DomainWorld to lockup or must sell for you. Many of the contracts domain resell sites make you sign, have in the fine print that the owner owes them a percentage even if they didn't make the transaction occur. As an owner I want more control over what I own, but don't mind if someone comes along and facilitates a sale. I am open to concept / approach/ ideas on how to do this, without DomainWorld becoming anything more than a billboard or conduit where opportunity meets.

Great name!

Plus you own the .AI version too.

Good luck.
I know nothing about social media, as my kids inform me. Sometimes it takes a great domain name to help overcome that disability. I wanted someplace to post without locking up my domains. I've been bored, I am retired and learned the best way to keep Alzheimers from setting in is to keep learning. There was this AI thing happening that I thought was to good to be true. In a week, I realized it could replace a small staff of programmers. I still have servers still out there, so, I built DomainWorld. Don't really expect to make money with it beyond posting my premium domains and selling some...best way to do that is to allow others to post their Premium Names too. Why not? Retired, now 66, I will sell the this site too for the right price. :)

Working now 👌

Might be worth looking at shrinking the search box as it's taking up over half the screen and maybe a auto scroll up button as you have a lot of domains listed....

Also the robot image is covering the comparison section

Apart from that after a quick glance looks nice.....

I like the idea of keeping sellers in control and avoiding exclusivity. Many domain investors prefer flexibility rather than waiting on brokers or platforms that may not actively push their names. The agent/finder-fee concept also makes sense if it stays simple and transparent. One idea that might help is allowing sellers to optionally set a visible “agent reward” or finder-fee percentage on a listing. That way brokers or agents instantly know which domains are worth bringing buyers for, without needing to ask the owner first. It could encourage more people to actively market domains listed on the platform while still keeping everything open and non-exclusive.

great idea, but bad realization. I think you really need to improve technical and visual quality of your site.

It looks like a website from the 2000s built using a website builder, and it works accordingly.

I like the idea, been thinking of how to go about it. Let the sellers fill in a box about the finder fee/commission and have text for that description, disclaimer, keeping with the owner in control (everyone's terms/amounts will be different.) Have a link on the domain card for a broker to inquire directly to seller? The email already goes straight to seller for a broker to contact as the seller, but maybe thats not obvious to an agent? I have thought about it, just can't figure the best approach? Maybe a "work with agent" icon and buyer simply clicks the email to get to the seller? Keep in mind, DomainWorld doesn't track or keep track of communications between anyone. (most of what's on the site are my domains, (hasnt been up a week yet.)

Built from scratch in two weeks

I didn’t mean to offend or upset you in any way, but objectively speaking, your website does need some improvements, including in terms of SEO and page speed.

If you don’t agree, that’s fine—it’s your website, so it’s up to you to decide what you want it to be like.

Thank You for describing what you see and for ideas. (Hasnt been up a week yet). Was that a phone displaying the page? The big gap was waiting for google adsense, Who knows when that will happen, stuffed a generic ad/promo there for now, , I see what you mean on a phone display search filter area. Thank You. Bob

You could let sellers optionally add a visible finder fee percentage on their listings. That way agents immediately know which domains are open for commission and can contact the seller directly.

Just my 2 cents

A small Agent / Finder Fee Available badge with a visible percentage could make it clearer. Agents would instantly know the opportunity and simply click to contact the seller directly.

I will work on it. I think that is the best approach. You have a good eye and articulated a missing aspect/element that needs more emphasis. I tried to mention that agents /brokers can leverage the site to, but that is kind of buried in text. A badge/icon on the card is the way to go. Thanks

Thanks Bob I am glad the idea was helpful & Looking forward to seeing how the platform evolves.
