Hello domainers, i quickly want to appreciate you guys for your support the prospective domainers who got their questions answered here. I'm new on domain flipping and with lots of interest on getting myself busy with it but i want to know the first tool needed for a start. I was thinking, if aquiring a site of my own was important as the first thing or could it come up subsequently? pls in need of an urgent reply. thanks

Where are you intending to flip the domains you buy? Flippa? I don't think you need a website as your first option.

Don't order a single domain. Go watch as many interviews as you can at domainsherpa.

Then come back and start testing the waters, because no offense, there's about a 99% chance you will just waste your money if you just jump into it.

Hey lister thtanks for the info. sometimes i wanna ask myself question cos i've really got no friend who ventured this trade so that means i got no tip on how this works but i surely love to get my hands on it. My question is... domaining seem not a very popular venture and that leaves lots of ignorance on the streets. So i'm i really on the edge like i mad a good decision coming here with regards on how well on the profit returns from hopeful deals?????

Domaining definitely is a popular venture, but the "turnover rate" of domainers is huge. People seem to have this misconception that domaining is easy, when in reality the majority of the domainers never make a profit.

You have to keep in mind that for every 100,000 or so + domains that domainers have stashed in their portfolios, there's maybe 1 end user. So you have to be extremely patient or constantly reaching out to endusers, AND you have to have desirable names. And I'd say just about every newbie doesn't have any good names, doesn't have any patience, and doesn't make an effort to market to endusers.

As with any investment, educate yourself and manage your funds wisely. It's a never ending learning process

Perhaps I also should have asked these questions. Where do you intent to buy these domains? Hand-reg? Dropping domains? In the aftermarket? What will be your average price per domain to buy, and to sell. Do you have a business plan? Strategy?

NP is full of domainers. There aren't many end-users here. So if you are intending to flip domains, your customers are other domainers. So NP might be a good choice. My experience of NameCheap Sales is limited, but I get the impression that there is a higher average price there than here. Flippa is a well established flipping venue. I'm not a flipper. So I haven't used it for buying or selling. But my impression is there are both unsold and good sales to be had on Flippa.
