Welcome @LiamSmith you can learn a lot on here. Best thing if you are just getting started is to read a ton, listen to DomainSherpa pod and DNW Pod. If you have an urge to start buying too many names try interacting with a few knowledgeable sellers to see if there is any value. Starting with less names but secure ones like LLLL.com (four letter .com) or NNNNN.com (five letter number .com) should keep you from blowing too much money. And remember it is cheaper to buy a $500 domain with liquid value and renewal of only $10 per year vs. buying 50 $10 domains with no liquid value that will cost you $500 each year, carrying costs are a huge deal in this here industry. Plus find some names you like that are fun and align with your interests. Cheers.
