New Golf Site!!!!

Hi all,
After making a complete balls up of my first attempt to design my own golf site, i reverted to getting hold of this template and working it from there.

Would like your comments please?

Not sure how to make the page wider though!!! Could do with making the page wider to add more content.

Would appreciate your help.

It needs colour desperately, fonts down the left hand side changed, marquee at the top and header substituted for something with some life. Why not just make it into a blog so you can get users feedback on new clubs, latest equipment, clothing for winter, articles on driving / putting / chipping / sand shots etc. Golf rss feeds coming in and yours going out to sites like feedfinder etc. Its a great name for a site and just needs more life injected into it .. just my 2c

I have to agree....Colour needed. (green) Also the body text has no structure. You may cat to title some articles and subject several bodies rather than one centered one.

NP's has some great designers that can help you out. I took the liberty to change the header and image size as well as changing background colours to green. Most the changes were made in the first portion of the code and you should be able to see it. If you need any help finding the changes pleaes feel free to PM me.

Welcome to the all new golf.im</h1>

What a great exclusive review to get things up and running.

Last Friday I had the pleasure of trying out BOTH new square drivers
from Callaway and Nike.

Both golf clubs have there own style, But my first impression of the
Nike was THAT IS BIG!!!

The Callaway is not so much in your face but almost discreetly
square!

After firing away a few with my own club, it was down to the real
stuff. First up was the Nike, it felt very balanced and very
comfortable throughout the whole swing.

Very nice club and out of 5 drives 4 went like a dream. RATING 7/10

The Callaway for me was the best out of the two, the whole feel to
the club and the less of a distraction made it feel very comfortable
to use and being able to use the club head as a set up aid was
great. Ball flight seemed to last forever and it was going 15 yards
further than the Nike. RATING 9/10

Err... don't want to insult you or anything, so apologize in advance, but the background, the header background, and the text fonts are all very not compatible, meaning they don't go together well, and make your site looks very ugly. I think green background is too bright, and if you want to use the green background, then you have to change the color of the header background to something else, because black on bright green can give me a dizziness.

No worries mate, that is the whole idea of asking everyone for their thoughts.

Have tinkered about with the colour scheme last night, but not really happy with it as yet.

Would love to have a template similar to www.golf.com

Lots of content and plenty of space for pics and ads!!!

Not the best at designing something like that so if someone could help, very much appreciated.

Sure we could come to some arrangement.

There should be some golf related or at least colour coded ones amongst the themes .. good luck

I should have followed up on this thread sooner. I was ONLY giving some examples of changes you could make.

new versions as well as updated the thread code with vr2. These iarea little more presentable than my last one. If you would like to do some more to the design PM me and I will do what I can. You'll need to add your pics or I can if you like. I used a different header as well. The grayscale header you have can be tinted green if you need.
