I just noticed that Flippa had a redesign and didn't see any threads about it, so I wanted to see what everyone thought about it. I think the homepage is a pretty decent improvement over all. The auction pages look the same though. I've also noticed that there are new sub-home pages for the website, domain and app areas. Before those links just went to boring listing pages so that's a huge improvement IMHO.

Below is the blog post about what they improved:

It's a slight improvement. The site used to drive me nuts, and before when it was a part of Sitepoint. Not very well thought out.

Still, it does a very good job, which is the main thing.

One thing that I like about the home page is that the top listings are editor's choice listings. If they're there because of an "editor's choice" and not because of a premium fee, that's really more equalizing of the playing field, because if they're selecting domains because they're top value, then we can't complain that there's an unfair advantage....that is unless there is some kind of bias, which some people would say is inevitable given that the choice is purely human judgement.

Given a choice I'd prefer it this way to be honest. I also like that there are 3 columns instead of two in the second row of listings on the home page...but they seem like shorter columns than in the previous design, so I'm not sure if the number has increased or decreased.

Nice work @FlippaDomains ! The more I look at it, the more improvements I notice. Do you guys plan on any more improvements on the auction pages?

Editor's Choice is all the Editor's (my) choosing. Currently, we've scaled back to only include investment-grade one-word (mostly .COMs). We may be opening up the parameters a bit in the weeks to come. This feature/section is not tied in any way to payment, bias, etc...

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, we're continuously undergoing improvements in the coming weeks/months. We're currently placing back filters that used to exist towards the top nav, as well as notifications (messages, offers, et al) which are currently not showing. That should be back shortly.
