Although we had wished to have our auction site, kioio.com, live by late September, we had a few delays in the software implementation.

It's up and running now and we've tried to incorporate some of the suggestions the forum members were gracious enough to make.

A thumbnail of the features:

Auction of domain names of $500 or greater value only.
No fees upfront
Listing in multiple categories
All domain auctions in excess of $10,000 contain detail WHOIS history
Seller controlled auction start time, end time, and duration.
Auto-relist of unsuccessful auctions at no charge
RSS feeds
8% commission includes the services of escrow.com.
Dedicated Account Reps for Preferred Sellers
and more.

Here's the press release making the announcement: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/10/prweb559864.htm

I'm hopeful that the domaining community will embrace our site and that everyone can grow and prosper from using it. Thanks for all your input and support.

I tried to trace the -1 items in 3-letters acronyms but couldn't find them ;)

Where can I find the "Kioio 100" mentioned in the article? How long has the company been operating? Thank you.

Yeah, the -1 is for folks with a negative viewpoint about the future of acronyms - lol (we're working to remedy this)

You can get all the info about the KIOIO 100 in the News section on the righthand side of the HP.

Quarus Domains, our parent, has been in biz since '05.

Best

Hi - it sounds like an excellent idea - I'll certainly give it a try - and a post on my blog too

Listed a couple of domains and got the confirmation, but they aren't showing up in the recently added or in a search. Is there a delay in listings...maybe checking to see if worth $500?

Very nice site overall. Great to have a good auction site.

Edit: Ah...I see...there is an approval process. Fair enough. How do you determine if a domain is worth $500 or more?

Hi Verbster:

It's more art than science and we're always leaning toward the "benefit of the doubt" within the peer group review system.

Thanks for joining and listing

Good looking site easy to navigate and quick. Some comments though...that logo sucks.

Also you might want to add a live link in your signature to gain traffic. Pain in the butt to copy and paste.

Good luck with the site, agree with labrocca about the loge, needs a clean crisp look to it.

Is there anywhere on the site that will show what names have sold? Might be worth it as people would like to know if the site is serving its main purpose.

Wish you all the best and hopefully lots of sales.

Really, really appreciate the input.

Can you clarify for me what you mean by "crisp"

I threw a few on for starters.....As far as the "crisp", I'd guess they're talking about the way it looks a little "fuzzy". It is not a crisp, clean image.

Nice site that navigates well! :)

Wish you well with it!

Sanatana - I just listed 3 domains for sale but I was looking for an 'online dating'/matchmaking' category and couldn't find one. Is there such a category ?

The subcategory People/Dating has just been added.

Thank you for your support early on in this new venture.

Just registered, a couple of my suggestions would be.

1) Change the font color of the domains in featured auctions

Here is how it looks right now.

And if you turn that to black, it is more easily readable and striking.

2) The logo still doesn't appeal much and it looks unprofessional in a way.
Let me know if you want to change the logo, and I will make a nice complimentary logo for you.

After all, we are here to help each other. :)

Nice site.
What is your advertisment plan?
The results will only be as good as the bidders (hopefully endusers) and once you get some nice sales under your belt even better names will come out of the woodwork.
Good Luck

Thanks DL

Our very short term concern is to get the site functioning optimally and to incorporate user suggestions.

Then, the process of attracting more buyers will accelerate with advertising on targeted sites and expanded media coverage.

Of course, forum members can help by "spreading the word".

Appreciate the input
