New Afternic Policy

Last week, I received an email from AfterNic that they are cleaning up their act. No more will they list domains that are considered adult in nature, have to do with online gambling, sex, or other offensive topics. Alll such domains will be removed, they said.

So today, I received another email announcing that my domain AsianRim.com is considered "adult", and they are removing my listing of that domain.

All I can say, is... if they consider that an adult name, they have a better imagination than I do :lol:

It may be this is may turn out to be a good method of determining whether a domain has remote potential for development as an adult site? LOL

I agree, seems sorta silly. I can only imagine they perhaps have gotten some complaints about people logging into Afternic and seeing adult domain names? I don't know. Seems like they're cutting themselves out of commissions on a huge segment of domain sales, and for not much benefit that I can see.

Seems a strange thing to do, how much effort would it have taken to segment their site, so that those who didnt want to look at various areas didnt have to.....curious......

If they include asianrim as adult, they should include a lot of names.
