SEDO Now removing adult names too!

A few weeks ago it was Afternic, now it's Sedo. I just received the email below. I also received one for names with the word "teen" in them. But, Nudepedia.com? Pretty harmless. This means they are going after all adult names, no matter how harmless they are.

Has the government got to these guys?

We are writing to inform you that the domains listed below have been suspended from Sedos services due to a potential violation of our Offensive Domain Policy. While Sedo strives to protect our users rights to exercise free speech and maintain a marketplace with a vibrant and diverse collection of domain names, Sedo must also protect Internet users from domain names that contain illegal subject material or that promote hatred, child pornography, etc.

They pulled 2 of my names from my account
I have had them there for a while now and all of a sudden they pull them

Rather than like wikipedia which was probably your main reason for reging it.

I can understand them not allowing the following type domains.

Domain names that, in Sedo’s sole discretion, promote or praise hatred, violence, child pornography, racial or religious intolerance may not be listed for sale or parked with Sedo and will be removed once discovered by, or reported to Sedo without warning or notice to the domain owner.

In addition, domains that promote organizations that endorse and/or encourage hatred, violence, child pornography, racial or religious intolerance may not be listed for sale or parked with Sedo. This includes, but is not limited to, domains promoting organizations such as the KKK, Nazis, neo-Nazis, or the Aryan nation.

More than likely just a misunderstanding IMO

Seems like "pedia" is being mistaken for "pedophile." I would give Sedo a call and let them know about the misunderstanding

Look, I didn't want to start a political thing; that's not good in this forum. But since some people cannot figure it out, yes, ImamWatch.com would be a watch site to keep an eye on most of the imams who want me, you and every other infidel dead or converted. If they didn't believe this they would speak out publicly against the millions of Islamists (not all Islam followers, but Islamists, as in Islamofascists) who do.

I merely used it as a example of what Sedo might interpret as a "hate site" (when it fact it's a survival of civilization site). I didn't think people would not understand it. If you have a problem with what I just said, please om me, don't ruin this thread.

That is bad. I don't think the registrar should care if it is adult content or not. If it was illegal maybe but since it isn't.
