Hi There.

I know from reading here that NetworkSolutions.com has hassles for domainers. But I see that they have a promo for $0.99 .com registration. Is it worth purchasing at this price? I am looking to purchase a domain for a quick flip. Will NP member buy if the push is to NetworkSolutions.com or will they shun the domain just because of the registrar?

If you are looking for a quick flip, I would choose another registrar.

I have bought some domains in bulk lot purchases that had names at NS and the only problem I had was that I had to call them to get them to give me the transfer codes a few months after the names were mine and in my account. They can be a bit of a hassle and there are better choices for flipping names fast, but there are definitely worse.

If it was me, i'd go with GoDaddy for a quick flip...

Good Luck.

Thanks. I use godaddy and namecheap mostly, but the price was good at NS. I think ill give the "NS cheapo" a miss though. Too many problems ;)

You are most welcome my friend. :D

I've used registrars in the past for cost reasons, but i've reached a point where saving a few dollars isn't worth the stress that do so can cause. I value keeping my hair on my head, instead of in my hands! ;)

If u want to lose your health, your money and everything u got then use networksolutions.com. Its so bad I don't even want to explain it. You will lose everything. Don't ever deal with those ******** even if they pay u and give u free domains. Its a scam.

Everyone was new at some point. At least these days there is a great site like this with lots of great info and people willing to help. A lot easier than many years ago when I started. ;)

Namejet and SnapNames purchases sometimes end up at NetworkSolutions. I got couple of domains there and I get spammed by their promotion department everyday. For example I own the .com and they'll send an emailing saying another tld is available. Their pricing for basic features is crazy.

Yeah avoid them if you can.

Me too. You need to be a completely virgin NetSol customer, and even then they may change you $34. Personally, I think only a fool would even attempt to utilize this offer, given the hassles you have when transferring the domain away. Experts, know the wrinkles, and can get domains transferred. Noobs will spend more than $9 of their own time, and get very frustrated, trying to transfer a domain away from NetSol. You have been warned.

Really? Please explain further. Thanks in advance.
You buy a cheap domain there, transfer it out and still are automatically changed for renewal. If you do a charge back on your card they will send collection agency and you'll end up with a huge bill for your $1 name.
This is their business model - lure you with cheap prices and force you to pay for stuff you don't even have with them.
It's borderline criminal and companies like that should never be awarded even $0.01 of your money.
