I have a domain name ToyotaIndustries.com

Recently I was contacted by their representative and after some correspondence I received the last message from him:

I am an authorized representative of Toyota Industries Europe AB. With regards to your questions below there are no formal requirements on Power of Attorneys. Our client is not willing to to negotiate around this issue and nor to purchase this domain name from you. You are offered 150 € to cover normal registration costs for the domain name if you agree to transfer the domain name without further delay. Should you decide not to do so we will as previously stated have no choice but to take legal actions with no further notice.

We will need an acceptable response from you as soon as possible and no later than 2007-12-04.

I said OK, make me the offer through SEDO. So, they did it.

What if I start the public auction?

Please, give me your advices ASAP.

No-no-NO... this is clearly a trademarked name. Any attempt you make to profit from it will get you in serious trouble. Accept their offer -- you're LUCKY they are willing to give you anything. Do NOT try to attract other buyers via auction.

So they are willing to pay for your illegal cybersquatting, and then you want to tick them off? Doesn't make sense. You are blatantly squatting on the domain so be happy they are giving you anything. But to open a public auction could also subject you to fraud. You made an agreement (IE- a contract) and you are cybersquatting, so it does not matter if you sold the name to someone else, YOU can still be help liable and Toyota can still come after you for monetary damages. Additionally, teh buyer can come after you for damages because Toyota can go after them. So why would you rock the boat?

your one lucky squatter mate, your lucky they even started talking to you, regging that name was foolish, dont think because you got away with it this time, that you will again, stay well away from the TM domains, esp things like this one!

i cant believe how lucky you are there, and i dont think you realize how lucky you are!
