Need to cancel a domain registration at GoDaddy

Hello,

i registered a .com domain 24 hours a go at gd and had made a spell mistake.
now i want to cancel it and get the refund.
when i select the domain and if i try to click 'delete', it says "Note: Deleting domains does not entitle you to a refund of registration or transfer fees."

so any other methods, so i can delete it and get the refund ?

godaddy submit ticket option also seems not there any more.

Contact their customer care and inform them of the correction and they will help you for the correction. That is the same situation in other registrars.

Thanks buddy, i am international customer and they dont have ticket submit option.
Their world class live customer support is always showing offline.

btw, truly what happend is,
i applied a 1$ promocode and reged a domain yesterday :D
i am 100% sure the promo is applied at the cart and i completed the purchase.
but today i eventually saw that gd had charged full amount for the domain and even the order mail was having the full amount. so i am confused. so i though of cancel it, get the refund, reg the domain again with 1$ coupon.

now what reason i would tell them for deletion :D

You should not need a reason. Simply tell them you wish to cancel the name and request a refund.

If they ask why you can give the misspell excuse you provided above, or make up some other fake excuse. However, steer clear of mentioning promo codes.

That said, always view the price in your cart before you finalize the transaction. It may show the code was applied, but not give the discounted amount. Could be you used the code already, or it's Geo restricted, etc.

Not all promo codes work for all countries so the same thing might happen again.

so what i understand from your replies is

- i had correctly applied the code and cart was reflecting the promo. but after checked out they revert the price for geo or re-usage reason pharps.
- when contact their support, do not talk about the promo code

You can use their toll-free number 18664632339 . If you are an international customer, you might still have to pay to connect, so it is better to use Skype.

Tell them you want to cancel a recent purchase, and they will guide you to Visit My Account -> Payments -> Cancel Item. After that, they will issue a refund to your card.
