Hey guys hope your all doing ok, im not here to ask for secrets of the trade, i just need to know if people are still making good money through parking and is it still possible for the little guy to generate somewhat of a decent income without paying hundreds odd a month for all the complicated tools.

In other words is there people who say ...this actual week have bought a domain and made money through parking?
Maybe im too slow and slightly backwards lol ah well

thanks anyways

Yes, there is lot of opportunity for new ones.
Plan some budget ( say 200-500 $ ) and start domaining.. buy some good names, do research some will make money some will not... analyze them why few made money and why few did not.. and then progress further...If you are Lucky and Hardworking then you will recover the amount in a month.

wow, you really believe that a newbie can recover $500 in a month just by being lucky and hardworking? I don't think this is good for the morale of the new people zaki.

In my opinion , and considering what the OP mentioned that he *doesn't* want to spend money for online tools, I'd say:

1. a lot -and I mean a lot- of patience is needed to balance the lack of tools

2. must follow the rule: make at least the fee of purchased domain

eventually anyone that spends a lot of time searching, trialing and erroring will get the hang of it

three months ago I had no idea what the difference of a domain compared to a site was, let alone parking. Right now , and after spending a lot of hours reading and searching, I can say that I make about 70-100$ / month..

I know it's a ridiculous amount for the most experienced guys out there but I'm pretty happy that I at least covered the reg fees and also making a profit out of it

Mollymoo25, I hope that gave you the boost you needed :)

Hi this is a honest feedback which you gave, this should give motivational boost to new people.

Also, you are correct about recovering 200-500 $ in a month for new people which is impossible... What i mean here is not the first, second or third month or fourth month...its the one month earning ( 200-500 $ ) after few months of learning... ( say after 5-6 months ) ....

The biggest mistake newbies make is to hand-reg some domains. DON'T HAND-REG ANY DOMAINS. They mostly won't have any traffic, so will not earn you a penny in parking revenue.

Some newbies don't want read. I said "most" :) For every newbie like you there are probably 50 others which get no traffic and also don't have any value.

There are many places to buy aftermarket domains. Auction houses like Sedo, Afternic, GoDaddy. Market places like BuyDomains, HugeDomains. Dropping domains at SnapNames, NameJet. My personal favorite is the Pre-Release domains at SnapNames, NameJet, and GoDaddy.

If somebody is selling a domain it's value is what a willing buyer is prepared to pay for it at that particular time.

From what I've learned so far, it just takes time. Correct me if I'm wrong vets, but unless you find a KILLER domain, you're not going to make a couple hundred bucks the first month. It takes a while to find good MULTIPLE domains, and when the real money comes in is when the snowball affect starts developing. The more and more domains you compound on top of each other, the more you'll make, eventually. When you cash out, use the funds to purchase more domains, ect. I could be wrong, but this is just my two months of knowledge.

Ok, here's a little motivation for whoever need it. This is my experiment to justify if there's money to be made from hand regs.

I hand reg 120 expired domains within 30 days using coupon codes ranging from $1-5. I have 2 separate Godaddy accounts to utilize coupon codes.

Ahrefs - The only paid tool used.

The result:-

1. I have recouped 1/2 of my investment within 3 months
2. Only 20 from 120 makes a good amount of money
3. 1 domain makes $5 or more per click

speedaccu - Nice post, especially since my company won 3 out of the top 5. :)

But now all you have to do is drop anything that didn't make any money within the year and you have a nice little small portfolio of domains.

Hi
Well if you could tell us what criteria do you take in to consideration when registering domains from the expired list
do you visit expireddomains.net for the list or do you have something else to check.
what all parameters you check
backlinks
Alexa rank
etc.

Its not that i dont do research
I daily dedicated my 3 hrs of time regging expired domains
or atleast researching to find some good domains but i have been struggling to get a good domain.

I have been registering domains for parking since 3 months now. I am still not able to recover 10$.

Help appreciated.
You can PM me if you dont like to share it.

Hi,

Whatever I learn are based on some amazing treads here especially one by Smurge.

I think practice make perfect and I'm just a novice compared to the pros around here.

Meanwhile, I'm compiling some notes about hunting valuable expired domain names and domain parking at large. While I'm not very sure if Domain Parking creates any real value, as passive income business model .... I just love this stuff.

Getting 10% ROI per month is great by any business standard.

Until I complete the notes.....
