We have an ecommerce website. Fortunately it has been a success for us. The daily average unique visits are 5,000 plus. There are around 60,000 registered members with us. It has always been our policy to avoid Google AdSense and similar programs and there is no change in the policy either for the fact that we don’t want our competitors to take any advantage of our traffic.
However, now we think that big organisations would like to place their banners on our site. Having no prior experience in marketing space on a site directly to the advertisers, I am a bit confused. My question is: should I write to the prospective advertisers directly or are there any agencies who work as intermediaries, which do the due diligence on sites like ours and then place banners on the behalf of the advertisers.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
