Hi,
Would you mind appraising these names? I'm new and need some honest feedback on these. Thanks much!

Zero on all the domains that break the golden 14-character rule of domains and reg fee on the rest. IMO.

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this is a FREE appraisal. This is a guess at quick flip resale value not an unrealistic end-user price. Often times my appraisals are rushed, too low, or too high. Sometimes my advice is totally wrong and occasionally downright dumb. If the post stamp is after 5:00pm EST, the chances are even greater that inaccuracies will occur due to blood alcohol levels.

I agree with the above poster.. These should all be grace deleted if possible...

Have to agree with above, zilch for value. Of course ANYTHING has value if some trolling end user sees and likes your name... but that's like waiting for one of your body hairs to grow a little longer than the others. Although I did think BabyNeedsLove.com was rather cool, not for babies but for dating/romance - though I'd still say zero value, but attractive if you have a nifty development idea for it.

Hang out at this forum for a long while longer until you know enough to begin making canny decisions with your domain regs.

Welcome to Namepros
:)

I don't know who made the fourteen character rule, but rules, as you may or may not know, were made to be broken, and they are with more and more frequency.

Not necessarily with the names you have here, though. If I were a piano instructor looking for students, I may have wanted howtoplayapiano.com, not .net. But even then I would have to have a serious enduser development plan for it.

toddlertotworld.com is the only one I would keep, only because I could actually see a use for it for an enduser.

yep, this 14-character rule is nonsence.
just check out namebio, select "domain length" minimum 15 - max. 50
and enjoy the list (just in 2009)

of course, if you have TheUgliestAndLongestDomainNameEver247.com , then the rule may apply, but there are thousands of nice keyword rich domain names sold for good prices

Never heard of the 14 character rule and I dont think length is a absolute , just basing mine on the bad names.

I missed InterestOnlyMortgageCalculator.com on drop :(
Reg'd the .org as a consolation prize.

Trying to think of a shorter way to tell my users that the site is a calculator for Interest-Only mortgages...

.... still thinking ....

Nope. Nothing. It's the best possible name there is for that keyword phrase there is. Long one, too... 30 characters. Totally happy with that $7 spent to secure it. Pay no mind to "character rules". Focus on keyword purity. If you're securing the best possible keywords for an exact search term, how "long" it is means nothing.

If I look back on 1998/1999/2000 and isolate my biggest domaining regret, it was that I bought into this absurd notion of "short at all costs" and instead of registering spectacular keyword domains that were available for reg fee, bought trash because it was "short". I've since learned my lesson. Don't make my same mistake. In the world of search engines, keyword lucidity is huge. "Length" has more to do with offline branding rules as opposed to domain quality.
