Hi,

I have recieved 3 offers for this domain name, high offers, in the $xx,xxx region

I refused them all because each request was only a few hundred dollars than the last request.

I have had one more offer for the name and i'm seriously cconsidering selling thats why i need your help asap.

The domain name is V-i-r-g-u-s dot com - I put the hyphens there so this doesn't get indexed.

So tell me what you think?? And if you're appraisal is higher and you want it, you can buy it.

Thanks

Five figures was a great price - I too would have jumped at that.

This is indicating scammers or people just messing about about, 3 offers in the xx,xxx range all within a few hundred of each other, seems a little fishy to me

Good luck but dont get your hopes up

Wish you all the best

3 unsolicited $xx,xxx offers for this name = scam

even if there was a deep-pocketed end-user desperately wanting this particular name for some reason or another they would probably start off by offering you a min TDNAM bid of $1K which is what you are asking..

regfee to low $xx to reseller

imho

Hello guys - Sorry for the late response - Just an update, i didn't sell the names - you were right they were scams.

They asked me to do a "appraisal" you know the usual scam drill haha.

However i did contact http://virgus.im/ - But they offered me $20.00 i'm not joking haha - His reason was that they don't use their website anyways.

I'm not in a hurry to sell this name as any blind person can see that its a very good brandable 6L and catchy name. so i told him $20 is something you use to buy sweets / iced cream and not your domain name. Then i hung up. [Seriously]

Hi, yes thanks for the update.

Couple things to learn through this

a) There offers and there's offeres a sedo/godaddy offers vs untraceable email offers. It helps to let use know if there an obligation behind them.

b) Need to think about how quickly you turned down 5 figs on a offer you at least thought legit. This will be helpful when you do get a real one down the road.

In time, you will learn to recognise these scammers, people never just offer xx,xxx for a brandable name, they will get low xxx to low x,xxx if they really want the name and you will negotiate from there

I would also not insult potential buyers, just say "thank you for the offer" and move on, you dont know who they are or if their business will one day want the name from you. I would certainly remember people who made smart remarks...just some advice...domainers have a bad rep as it is, try and be professional at all times.

Good luck
