Need advice on information sites

i needs people s opinion on information driven sites and there revenue potential. Basically I want to set up many different sites with accurate updated information on a variety of subjects. Then an Adsense. Do these sites make money? I am hoping to make about 1-3 dollars a day per site. Is this possible. Feedback is appreciated.
