Hey Guys,

I've posted the 4 sites I registered onto Sedo a few days ago. I feel they are decent names which each could be developed into at least a mini-site for some passive revenue but thought i'd toss them up onto Sedo to see if I get any bites. I got a bite this morning. This is his email:
"Hello!

I'm interested in buying beautifulroadtrips.com.

I've found it through Sedo.

Please respond with how much you are looking for it. Just specify this price in the subject line.

If you have other names for sale please email me your list with prices.

Regards,

Joshua Rodman, Ph.D"

So what are some of your tips & tricks when selling domains? Do any of you do with realtors do (lie and say you have other people currently interested) in order to get him to bump up his offer? Any good wording to send back to him?

Or, do you think I'd end up getting more money by developing them into mini-sites? They are:
beautifulroadtrips.com
excitingroadtrips.com
trxchallenge.com (big fitness program currently)
createwindenergy.com (bio-science & environmental energy field)

After some suggestions from domainers & appraisals, I have them each up for $1K.

Thanks.

If he asks for an appraisal through someone "he knows," run like the wind. It's most likely a scam to get you to fork out money for an appraisal without any intent to buy your domain.

For now, though, treat this as if it's a bona fide interest in the domain and be polite in your initial contact with him/her. It's all too easy to become cynical, but, still, always keep one eye open.

It can be rocky out there in domainland.

:)

Grrrrr! C'est la vie. I'll write back anyway, just in case but thanks for the heads up.

I'll find a better parking company (voodoo or bodis prob) then Sedo while I decide if I'm going to try to sell them or create mini-sites out of them.
