1. What is the biggest challenge you faced joining the domain industry?
Finding good unregistered domains, and finding buyers.
2. What did you find the easiest to understand?
The different TLDs and ccTLDs.
3. How often do you spend a week with domain names?
1 hour, since I normally just reg something if I think it would work (and don't really bother finding a buyer), otherwise I just chat on NamePros and learn more about domaining.
4. Have you sold any domains yet? If so for how much and did you make profit?
Not yet.. I haven't made any efforts to.
5. What are you confused about still?
The entire deal with expiring domains. I know that you can backorder a domain, but I'm not completely sure on any of the details.
6. Would an eBook on all of this help you? Would you buy one or want it free?
If many people recommended it, I would definitely take a look. For free, of course
7. Did you register names or buy them from other users?
I only register names, but so far I've purchased one from someone else via the NP auction (tradepile.com, I think it has great potential)
8. If you registered where at and why? (It not this does not apply)
Domainsite is the best registrar I've used. True, I haven't used many, but it's much easier to use than godaddy (and cheaper, better support, faster DNS updates), and from what I've heard regfly as well.
9. Do you think that it is fun selling domains?
I wouldn't know, haven't sold any.
10. What programs do you use regarding domains (such as Overture, URLtrends, ect)?
Overture, whois, domaintools (suggestions), google search, DN Finder
10. Do you understand expired domains?
Not really, just a little. I know about the 5 day grace period, blablal..
11. Why did you get into the domain industry?
I became pulled in.. at first I just joined NamePros on a recommendation by a friend, just to see what it was like. Once I made a few hundred posts, I could not NOT become a domainer. I already learned a lot, and besides, I needed domains for my website.
I hope this helps!
