NameService.net (unused) - Need Ideas

I recently aquired NameService.net (has been online since atleast '95 with various owners...albeit, page-rank not worth crap at the moment - yet :p ). While it isn't an A+ name, I think when it comes to domain-related names, it isn't bad. The .com is for sale, but catching drops often cheaper at drop services or easier if done by yourself than making offers to current owners (If the owner of the .com is here, by the way, you can always PM me with a one-time bottom asking price - I agree to it or not, as I don't haggle often ;) ). My question comes down to now that I have it, what do I want to do with it (OK...No need for anyone to make rude comments like "Why did you get it with no prior plans?" ). I was just looking for ideas anyone may have, that you either see in other places (ie: You have several sites to go to for diffrent services, but would like them all in one place.), paid-services you like that you wonder why no one does for free (I'm not donating a fortune here..lol), or something you wondered how or why no one offers it. Just give me any domain-related general ideas you have. Looking for odd tools/services, ect.; not the basic "hosting", "domain registration", "whois", ect.. Any ideas would be highly appreciated :)

Well, it would definately be nice to have one of those domain generators based off of keywords which you input. Also, it would be even nicer if it verifies whether or not the domain is available and then outputs a list of available domains.

Also, it'd be nice to have this for the ccTLD's as well.

How about a private /whois service? Not sure how viable it is but maybe worth looking into seeing as everyone else is charging for it (except dnoa.org).

Oh, and maximum, I like your Voltaire quote in your sig, my favourite Voltaire quote is "Christianity is the most ridiculous, the most absurd, and bloody religion that has ever infected the world." :)

I may add this one there, or on another site of mine. Alot of these out there...But, makes me start thinking how I could do it diffrent from the usual suspects :p Worth some dubious planning :imho:

Definately worth considering. Fairly easy to set-up email redirects (with spam filters) at [email protected], all snail-mail to one address, and phone contacts all listed the same (Already have a toll-free 800 number ending in "dot com" {1-8***-*-DOTCOM}, that I only use for my whois). Thinking hard on this idea! :tu:

Nice one. Just would have to figure-out tool for those with dynamic IP#'s  Now, if go with this, got to get some nifty (read-between-the-lines: cool :kickass: ) domains to use with it.

Majeta - As to that quote you posted: I don't believe any religion is bloody. But, I do believe every religion has irrational people and fanatics that claim to practice their warped ideas in the name of the religion. ;)

I was seriously considering the ideas given above, but life has a way of creepying up on you, so I don't have the time for it( :'( ). So this domain is beng sold-off here. Thanks again for the time and thought put into your suggestions. Sorry I asked and had you take out the time for it, seeing as I have to get rid of the name
