Hey, domain sellers! 👋

We have a special surprise for you.

Continuing from last year (and last week), we have some exciting updates to share with you about NamePros Parking Landers!

First, consider this:

You price your domain name at $2,500. For years, hundreds of interested buyers want to buy it, but the price is too high for them. They don't even try to contact you because they don't realize that the price is negotiable or may change. Years later, you decide to lower the price to $995. How many previously-interested buyers would buy it at this lowered price? You’d never know — until now!

With our new Buy Now options, you can finally contact those previous buyers to increase your sales opportunities. 💸

Here’s how:

Our landers have an option that requires buyers to confirm their email address before they can see the price. Once confirmed, the price is available to them and their email address is available to you. Simple and effective. Learn more on DNW.com.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Thought you'd like to note that it looks like phone numbers and not a very generous offers.
Yeah, we should probably just block offer amounts that match the phone number. Can anyone think of a reason that we might not want to do that?

I think the lead should still record but maybe erase the offer if its identical or even mostly the phone number since it seems that is what they're doing. It would still be interesting to see the lead info, however.

Or, it could be set to pop up a message to the offeror asking them to enter a valid amount.

I usually receive an inquiry every few days (probably 75%/25% confirmed/not confirmed emails)

But today from, 10:30 AM EDT through 11:35 AM EDT the floodgates seemed to open and I received SEVEN in that 65 minute period. All not confirmed. All look spammy.

One thing I've noted is that I do not think these insane offers are not purposely done. (see below screenshot)

It seems they are the exact (or the majority of the) phone number which they likely copy/pasted into the offer field.

So, for that can there be a filter to check if some or all of the phone number has been copied in or re-entered into the offer field? Also a max allowable offer amount? I once had an offer for 999,999,999,999 which, I'll go out on a limb, only a few of my domains are worth that much but I wouldnt ever sell them! Seriously, can we have a setting that allows us to reject an offer over a certain amount?

Many of today's inquiries were annoymized / likely VPN and the names do not match the email addresses so I wont be wasting time on them.

I am just curious why seven inquiries were received in a 65 minute period when the seven prior inquiries date back 10 days to April 15th.

Here are the inquiry numbers and times. 5 distinct domains received 7 inquiries in 65 minutes. 1 domain received 3 within a 14 minute period. ALL seven inquires not confrmed as of my writing this.
DOMAIN 1 39372 10:30 AM EDT - Cyprus (99%)
DOMAIN 2 39444 10:32 AM EDT - Japan (99%); Tokyo (80%); Tokyo (50%)
DOMAIN 3 39497 10:34 AM EDT - Algeria (99%); Algiers (80%); Algiers (50%)

DOMAIN 4 39514 10:34 AM EDT - Portugal (99%)
DOMAIN 4 39596 10:45 AM EDT - United States (99%); Florida (80%); Miami (50%)
DOMAIN 4 39597 10:48 AM EDT - United Kingdom (99%); England (80%); Manchester (70%); Manchester (50%)

DOMAIN 5 39607 11:35 AM EDT - Argentina (99%); Buenos Aires F.D. (80%); Buenos Aires (50%)

(edit: added locations)

AMA! Thanks!

Do any of those offers match the phone number field?
Still receiving considerably more inquiries than usual.

The pattern is the same:
- fake names
- fake email addresses (which do not match the name provided)
- emails are all not confirmed
- fake company names (they try to make the company sound like a law firm LOL!)
- phone numbers cant be verified

I have received probably dozens now but many don’t have the phone number in the offer- just tons of offers from very strange leads all of a sudden.

ALL are from anonymous VPN

I would love /prefer to block all anonymized inquiries from even being able to fill out the form. That should stop this (for me) as I have never had a legit offer come in via anonymous VPN.

But yea, tons of inquiries all of a sudden. I'd like to know the technical reason as to why, would be interesting to learn.

That should be great news! What a shame it's not...
At least you can be sure that @Bravo Mod Team will get onto it and find a way to sort out the issue, as opposed to if you posted this issue on threads relating to certain marketplaces which shall remain unnamed...!

All of my inquiries were "unconfirmed" emails as well.

I just wanted to make sure that I pointed that out for clarification.

Yea, its frustrating but NP always works it out.

Something has definitely changed. Received a few more this morning already.

Its tough work to sift through these leads on our own. We want to assume each one of them is legit but eventually a pattern emerges. It does lend perspective to how difficult it is to handle all of the leads ourselves. Sometimes I wonder if its worth the 15-25% fee to let someone else do it for me.

That is why I think (for me, at least) if I could click a box that tells a lead using any sort of Anonymizer service that the data entry form is disabled because they're using an anonymous service, but explains that if they come back with a non-Anonymizer service then the form will become active and they can fill it out. OR perhaps they must to confirm their email address before being shown the rest of the form? Not sure what would work best and will leave that to NP.

However, this is a good example of why I'd like to be able to delete inquiries.
Along with my own test inquiries, these particular leads are worthless IMO and clutter things up even with the ability to filter "unconfirmed". Sometimes if an unconfirmed lead enters useful data then that particular lead may be able to be contacted. Maybe they got sidetracked or confused on how to confirm. With the current influx of anonymous unconfirmed leads I cant tell anymore.

This is just one example of the leads that all came in within 3 minutes. Three of them at the exact same time. All the same domain name. So I'd love to simply delete these and just forget they even existed. :xf.smile:

Since April 9th (I think thats about when this all began) I've 44 of these sorts of leads (against 22 unique domain names) and every time I check there are a couple more. Is anyone else seeing this besides those who have commented already?

Interesting idea! That could be an effective strategy for serious buyers. Thanks for sharing this suggestion.

Yeah, we're seeing the same thing across multiple accounts: these invalid offers are almost exclusively from unconfirmed inquiries. Our email confirmation feature is already disqualifying those inquiries for most sellers, but we understand that some sellers like to check unconfirmed inquiries, too.

We're going to try rejecting offers that match the phone number or exceed $1 billion dollars so that the visitor must enter a valid offer to submit the form.

Let's see if that helps. That's a quick change so hopefully we can release that this upcoming week, along with our new qualification feature.

Yep, we switched from Google reCAPTCHA to Cloudflare Turnstile.

Google reCAPTCHA is blocked in countries like China, so we expect there to be an increase of all types of inquiries, including the unfortunate ones like confused visitors and human spammers. That's over a billion new people who can create inquiries now.

Our upcoming qualification feature is going to be an excellent way to deal with all of these sorts of inquiries. If they pass that qualification, then they're a serious buyer.

Coming this upcoming week!

Some unqualified inquiries coming through this captcha .Make it tighter so only real inquiries can come through.

Still got 2 real inquiries, so that's still good 😉.

Notice: You may have just received multiple "IMPORTANT" emails from us. If you did, don't be alarmed.

Those are from you using our "Ask for a reply" feature. There was a small bug introduced recently that caused those emails to get delayed, but now they've all been sent out (to catch up) within the past 2 hours. It shouldn't happen again.

Sorry about that!

@Bravo Mod Team ,I think payment methods should go underneath "buy it now price and just get rid of "start a conversation".
Don't you think it makes buyers second guess ?

Suggestion to add this lander with to the list please and keep your "start a conversation" as well for others.

Underneath the "Continue" button, or underneath the "Buy now" text?

get rid of "start a conversation".
Don't you think it makes buyers second guess ?
That's just a contact option in case the buyer has a question about the process, payment terms, etc.

We can consider renaming it to "Contact seller" or something if you think that'd be better in this scenario.

Let us know.

Yes "Contact seller " is fine .But I still prefer the payment methods to be underneath the buy it now price .
The "contact seller" should be at the bottom after that.

Thanks .

Update on the flood of unconfirmed leads, it has slowed down considerably. I've received a couple of unconfirmed emails and one of them is actually the person who the claim to be (name, company, phone number can all be found in the wild). They just didnt confirm.

So that is good news on the lead quantity front!

I would like to add AtomPay to the available payment methods that I accept.

Edit: If it is the Atom Pay Network ID on this page https://www.atom.com/dashboard/account/payment-options then I have just found it and set that up at NP in my settings. Is that all I need to do or do I need to add these domain names to Atom as well?
